KRAITEC® step applications
Application on flat roofs• KRAITEC® step for walkways and maintenance ways• Protection slab for sealing membrane• Various laminations for optimum compatibility with the roof
waterproofing membrane• Can be welded to the roofing membrane using hot air welding
(step roof PVC/FPO)• Protection against flying sparks (Broof(t1))• general building authority test certificate (P-3692/139/1-MPA BS)
R10 Broof(t1)
Application on terraces and balconies• Pleasant walking comfort due to elasticity• Simple installation with connectors• Individual slabs can be easily replaced• Various appealing colours• Cold-insulating and sound-insulating effect• No danger of splintering as with wooden flooring• Slip-resistant and quick-drying
R10
11KRAITEC® step applications
Application in swimming pools• KRAITEC® step as pool surround for private or public
swimming pools• High slip resistance (R10) in contrast to tiles• High chlorine resistance• Water permeability• Fast drying
R10
Easy cutting• Cutting with cutter knife or jigsaw possible• Corners and curves can be easily cut• curves in the middle of the slab for solar panels or other
lighting possible

KRAITEC® stepINSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
KRAITEC® step installation instruction
1. InstallationBefore installation, ensure that the subsurface has a suffi-cient slope and adequate takeoff drains. Check levelness of subsurface (see installation instruction). Make sure that the subsurface is compatible with the slabs. Start installation in a corner of the surface to be covered.Connect the slabs using the pre-integrated connector pins in the slabs as supplied. The pins, which allow rapid ins-tallation without need for time-consuming glueing, should point in the direction of installation. Install the first row of slabs up to the edge limitation on the other side, checking to ensure proper alignment, perpendicularity and fit with the edge bordering. Installation is normally recommended in a masonry-type configuration, i.e. starting every second row with a half slab, in order to further stabilize placement.
2. CuttingThe slabs are easy to cut using a low-speed sabre saw (blade for wood with medium-sized teeth) or a carpet knife while using a steel straightedge as a guide. Be sure to support the slab with sufficient elevation on both sides of the cut.
3. Please noteWhen laying the slabs on plastic liners or waterproofing (e.g. on roof terraces), a separation geotextile or equivalent mate-rial or KRAITEC® step plus which incorporates a laminated 300 g/m² synthetic fabric on its bottom side has to be used.Surfacing exposed to extreme temperatures will contract on cooling. This may result in gap formation at joints.
4. DisclaimerWe shall be glad to send you a detailed application-specific installation instruction (terraces, balconies, flat roofs, edge surfacing around swimming pools) for e. g. walkways or non-rectangular areas. You can also send your request via our website www.kraiburg-relastec.com/kraitec.

KRAITEC® stepRECOMMENDED CLEANING PROCEDURES
KRAITEC® step cleaning instruction
General information:Do not permit substances which can cause permanent stains - such as paints, lacquers, oils etc - to contact or mark KRAITEC® step surfaces. In this case cleaning would be extremely difficult or even impossible.
Routine cleaning:To remove loose dust, dirt or other foreign material, use a softbristled broom or a heavy-duty vacuum cleaner. If the va-cuumcleaner incorporates a mechanically driven brush, make sure that it is soft enough to avoid damaging the surface. To removeforeign material adhering to the surface such as dirt, moss, foods etc., srub with a soft brush and water and rinse off with large amounts of water. In case residual material remains, scrub with a soft brush, warm water and highly diluted cleaning agent and again rinse off using large amounts of water.High-pressure spray cleaners can also be used to clean KRAITEC® step. Always maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm between the spray nozzle and the surface to be cleaned to reduce impact pressure and also ensure that the water temperature does not exceed 80°C. Following spray cleaning, remove all material washed out of the pores by washing with highly diluted cleaning agent and again rinsing with large amounts of water.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AT KRAIBURG RELASTECFROM OLD TYRES TO TOP-QUALITY FINISHED PRODUCTS
KRAIBURG Relastec and environmental protection
Recycling of 85.000t old tyres
Every year, we process and recycle about 85,000 tons of old tyres, clo-
sed-cell rubber and rubber produc-tion scrap.
Environmentally friendly production
We invest in innovative and en-vironmentally friendly production
methods and technologies. There is a PV system on our administration
building.
Fully recyclable products
All products are fully recyclable and are returned to the production process without any loss of quality.
Review of the products and further development
Our products are subject to cont-inuous quality testing and further
development, whereby environmen-tal concerns are given priority. We are always on the lookout for even more environmentally friendly al-
ternatives that enable us to further reduce emissions and protect
resources.
Environmental protection as a main strategic task
We are convinced that sustainable growth is only achievable, if we
meet our responsibilities towards the environment. KRAIBURG
Relastec has therefore adopted a very simple policy: Protecting the environment is part and parcel of
what we do every day!
Member of NEW LIFE initiative
The declared aim of NEW LIFE is to demonstrate the advantages of
recycled products from End-of-Life Tires (ELT) to the media, politicians and the general public and to moti-
vate them to act sustainably.
More information:www.initiative-new-life.de/en
Control of suppliers
Our suppliers are subject to constant monitoring with regard to
environmental protection.
CO2 savingsIn Germany alone, 400,000 tonnes
