FFNF Programme Overview

The NeedOperating managers, in order to be effective and result oriented, should be finance savvy, able to understand, present, drive and measure business plans in terms of financial figures, and communicate in a common ‘business language’ through financial figures. An introductory programme on finance can be instrumental in enhancing the profile of operating managers. Further, operating managers need to be equipped with a financial decision making tool kit which helps them identify businesses to get into, take pricing decisions, identify areas for cost reduction and take, make or buy decisions. In other words, knowledge of ‘finance’ becomes important as it exerts an unifying influence over processes that aim at attaining a company’s goal. The programme provides managers with an extensive working knowledge of critical financial principles in an easy to follow manner, so that the knowledge gained can help them take better decisions in their organisation.

ObjectiveThis programme aims to meet the requirements of operating managers in different functional areas who would like to be well versed with the introductory nuances of finance. Deciphering financial jargon and developing the ability to see the business implications of numbers is a key outcome of this programme which aims to: Enhance role as decision-makers and underst and the implications of finance on corporate activities.

Help them understand and analyse financial statements.

Put them in a better position to discuss the relevant financial issues with finance managers in their organization

Understand the impact of various decisions on the company’s performance.
