koüch is an original hand made piece of kids furniture designed and made in Melbourne by Michael Kirby.

Tailored for comfort, koüch has a smart design of gentle curves with high-density foam padding over a solid timber frame simplifying kids lounging.

koüch was launched in 2008 when Michaels friends starting having children and he began searching for first birthday gifts. He noticed a distinct lack of stylish children’s couches that were not floppy sofas made of foam and covered in Dora or Thomas the Tank Engine!

Michael has been an upholstery and furniture manufacturer for over 20 years, owning a successful business with impressions upholstery and design over the last 15 years. In that time Michael has honed his skills in design and manufacturing bespoke adult furniture. He now has a passion for furniture for little people.

When beginning to design the koüch, safety, durability and chiropractic attributes were essential to the product. Michael sought advice and support from specialist kid chiropractors during the design process.

He also made sure the koüch would look stylish in any living space and was designed to compliment a range of existing décor.

PatchwallThe desire of Tres Tintas Barcelona to bring design into the world of children’s decor has led them to Patchwall. Patchwall is the new creation that the Catalan firm has developed in collaboration with designer Juancris Vera.

Patchwall is an emotional and didactic bet that consists in up cycling spare wallpapers into eight geometric forms. The combination of these forms create original and childish figures like: boys, girls, trains, castles, nests, robots, boats, flowers, etc. You can combine your chosen figure with a wallpaper roll.

The novelty comes under the brand Tres Tintas Kids and involves much more than simple designs to decorate. The child figures, constructed from pieces of existing wallpaper and combined with a roll of paper for the background, are designed to develop an educational and creative role in children.
