Welcome to 2014 at Snow Revellers.
I hope many of you have the opportunity to take advantage of your member-ship this year.
As mentioned elsewhere in this issue, the club's Annual General Meeting is coming up in early April. This is a good chance to catch up with the latest news, provide feedback or suggestions and ask questions of your board.
The Easter working party is fully subscribed. A select band of volunteers will be painting, plastering and generally having a good time making sure the lodge is in top-top shape for the winter season.
Julie and Gwil are set to join us again. This year, their accommodation (particularly the bathroom) has had a revamp. We look forward to catching up with them again during the season.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Kosciusko Snow Revellers’ Club Limited will be
held at 22 Orlando Avenue, Mosman Thursday 3rd April, 2014 at 8pm.
Please Note: Proxy and Nomination forms have been included at the end of this issue.
Annual Subscriptions
Some members’ Annual Subscriptions are now well overdue. As a reminder, subscriptions fell due on 1st
December
2013 and were payable within 30 days. If you have not already done so, please forward your completed remittance
and form to The Hon. Treasurer at PO Box 961 Sydney 2001 or via email to, [email protected]. Subscriptions
are $125 per adult member and $62.50 per Junior member. A subscription form is attached to Revelry.
Please note: winter lodge bookings will be only taken from financial members.

Ski Clear Out — FINAL NOTICE
Last Easter (2013) skis were cleared out from the ski storage areas of the lodge
(roof space and downstairs ski room). Skis that were not labelled or had labels
prior to 2008 were placed under the north wing.
The downstairs ski store is now for Easter working party equipment and supplies.
Skis should be stored only in the roof space, which has been reorganised to
provide more efficient ski storage.
During the upcoming Easter work party (April 2014) any skis left under the
north wing that have not been claimed will be taken to the Jindabyne tip.

Please label your skies with the current year. The next cull of old Skies will be
Easter 2015.

News from Slopes
Work parties on the Perisher XC trails.
It is that time of year again - weekends in the mountains, cool days, gorgeous environment, good
people and a fine way to expend energy at high altitude.
Winter 2013 showed clearly how effective summer grooming of the trails is in holding minimal snow.
And how important it is to keep improving things. New snow fences, rock-removal and fine-tuning
the routes are all low-tech strategies that have proved themselves over time and there is lots of that
on the agenda for this summer. Think of the winter ahead and set aside a summer weekend (the first
weekend of each month) to join NPWS and the XC volunteers at the Nordic Shelter and on the trails.
The next work parties will be held on the,

ganised. Wear good boots and appropriate work clothes. If you have them, bring work gloves, safety
glasses and long-handled secateurs.

The Peak Festival
SLOPES is excited to announce that the Perisher Snowy Mountains Music Festival is back with a
brand new name - Peak Festival. The Peak Festival will celebrate the opening weekend of the 2014
snow season at Perisher Valley. Over 4 days, June 6-9, the Peak Festival will feature over 100 concerts
across 8 venues in the unique environment of the Perisher snowfields! More information can be

Winter 2014 Lodge Booking Arrangements
Winter accommodation bookings opened on Saturday 1st March 2014 to financial members only. Members requiring accommodation in the peak season booking period which includes School Holidays and August should have their applications in by the end of June . The selection committee will make its decision for presentation to the Directors for approval. Remember that a suggestion for an alternative period is important. Members requiring two (2) weeks will only be considered for one (1) week in the first instance. The best use of available space will be made, and small compact groups will probably have a better chance of finding themselves booked than large groups. Reasons for wishing to book during the heavy-use period should be included with the booking application, so that the committee is able to give due consideration to the application in the light of the information supplied. There will naturally be some of this weight removed if accommodation had been obtained during the last selection period.
Procedure & Conditions
Lodge bookings by financial members must be made in writing to Lodge Bookings accompanied by the full tariff.
A PDF form can be downloaded from our website, http://www.ksrc.com.au/
Bookings CANNOT be made by telephone.
Full tariff for the period of accommodation requested is to be forwarded with each application for bookings.
The tariff can be refunded should a booking not be made and confirmed on the requested date/s.
In the case of a booking cancellation a charge will apply.
All cancellations must be received in writing by the Booking Officer. Please refer to section below for Conditions for partial refund on cancellation of booking.
Booking enquiries can only be made to 02 9651 7000. General Club enquiries can also be directed here if required. When not attended, the answering machine will take your message with calls re-turned as soon as possible.

An application form has been included in FORMS at the end of this issue. Members requiring more than two (2)
weeks at other than peak season should state the period preferred for a two (2) week period as further book-
ings can only be confirmed two (2) months before the required date
There will be a late season discount of 25% from 14th September 2014.
Please note that email is the preferred method for communication in regards to bookings rather than the phone message system. Booking applications sent via email should include all details on the application form (or a scanned copy of the form) including credit card details. Members wishing to take Temporary Members are reminded that:
Each member can only take two (2) Temporary Members to the Lodge at one time and must propose those persons in writing as Temporary members.
The member proposing the Temporary Members must accompany them to the Lodge and is responsible for them at all times.
The member must acquaint the Temporary Member with all the rules and conventions.
Children at the Lodge
During the ski season, children under three (3) years of age can only be accommodated during the nominated “Babies Week”. This year Babies Week will be from 6th-13th September.
Conditions for Partial Refund on Cancellation of Booking
All cancellations must be received in writing by the Booking Officer. Cancellations received at least four (4) weeks before the commencement of the booked week will receive a refund of 90% of the tariff. Cancellations giving less than four (4) weeks’ notice, but received by at least the Tuesday prior to the booked week will receive a 30% refund of tariff paid. Cancellations not complying with the above conditions will not normally receive a refund. In the event of a refund for a credit card payment, the Club may pass on any bank charges incurred.
Casual Meals
Please note that meals are for members and their guests only: Breakfast $15, Lunch $15, Dinner $30. The Lodge Captain must be notified in advance of intended guests for meals.
Telephone Charge (local calls only) is $0.50 per Unit.
Dietary Requirements Our Lodge Managers have requested that they be informed of any special dietary requirements of members and temporary members in residence before they arrive at the Lodge. For this reason, please complete this sec-tion of the booking form should you have any special requirements.
