The rst step to handling a matter in an efficient and cost effective manner is proper planning and analysis of the scope of the project. eDiscovery Consulting & Planning

After key custodians have been identied, the next step is the defensible collection of ESI from client sites. At Kollabs, we leverage computer forensics experts and the best forensic technologies to ensure critical metadata is preserved and spoliation is prevented during the collection process. Once the data has been defensibly reduced, we process the remaining data set into a reviewable format using industry leading eDiscovery processing software. All available metadata and full text is extracted, OCR’d and indexed to create a fully searchable document set. During this process, we strictly adhere to time tested woworkows, process audits, quality controls, analyses, validations and chain of custody considerations. We specialize in handling custom Lotus Notes stores and other complex databases in a cost effective manner.

At Orrick, he earned the respect of his peers with his broad experience and expertise in technology, willingness to share his knowledge with case teams and ability to contain costs for every project he managed. Prior to Orrick, hehe worked at law rms and Fortune 500 companies managing IT departments and eDiscovery projects. The management, problem solving, technical and customer services skills he developed throughout his career have been instrumental to the growth and organizational success of Kollabs Legal.

James S. Kim, Esq. Director of [email protected] Director of Review, James is responsible for the management of all document reviews undertaken at Kollabs. Prior to joining Kollabs, James worked with law rms such as Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein as well as Fortune 500 companies such as Fidelity National Financial. He is an expert in the areas of eDiscovery and document review. He is an experienced attorney who understands the elements required to properly support large scale review teams and how to optimize workows to maximize productivity and contain costs.
