  • After School Care

Please ensure you notify the school of any changes to your After School Care booking by midday on the day of booking. If we have over a certain number of children, we have to bring someone else in to help and this cost us. It is not feasible if we don’t have enough children to cover this cost. The best way to communicate is to email what days your child needs this service at the beginning of each week.

    Reminder—School Gate

PLEASE DO NOT USE THE FRONT GATE WHEN DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP YOUR CHILDREN.

We have had a couple of near misses with children stepping on to the road when cars are going past. It is an open speed limit on this stretch of road and although we have contacted council in the past, they were not able to do anything about it. We are in contact with them again to try to find a resolution to this problem. So in the mean-time, please use the designated car park to drop off in the morning and in the afternoon for pick up too.

    School Tee Shirts

Please have a search at home and send back any school tee shirts you have. We know the Year 7 and 8 students have been borrowing school tee shirts on Monday to wear to tech because they have forgotten their own. Please remind them to bring their own and bring back the ones they have borrowed. If you want to buy your child/children a tee shirt of their own, please contact the school office and we can order them for you.

    Name Your Childs Clothing

This is a timely reminder to name your child’s / children’s clothing. We find sweatshirts and other layers of clothing left in the playground and don’t know who they belong to because they are not named and for some reason the children do not seem to know what belongs to them. Last term we had so much left here with no names.

    The Yummy Apple Sticker

This promotion has kicked off again for this year, so a good time to remind everyone to collect Yummy stickers and bag cut-outs. This will be the 22

    nd year we have

been running this promotion and we have another $200,000 of sports gear for schools. Stickers are due in at the end of Term 3 (Friday 27 September), I will send out a reminder closer to the time. Meanwhile crunch on some Yummy apples, they have around ten different varieties of apples available at the moment, with a couple more on their way

    In the Whanau Room

If you would like to enroll your child/children in ASCC, please contact the office for an enrolment form. This service is available from 3pm to 5.30pm Monday to Fri-day. It is OSCAR subsidized, so if you are eligible, you can apply to WINZ for a subsidy. Forms are available at the school office. The cost per session is now $7.00. Session 1 runs from 3.00pm to 4.15pm and Session 2 runs from 4.15pm to 5.30pm. If you would like to enroll your child, forms are available at the school office. If your child attends regularly and is having a day off from After School Care Club, please phone the school office to inform us. Our ASCC leader is Mary– Rose Olson.

Playgroup On Tuesday morning from 9am to 11.30 a group of parents meet in the newly refurbished whanau room with their pre schoolers. There is quite an array of equipment and the children are welcome to use the school grounds for play. Everyone is welcome to join the group. It is a wonderful way to get your child used to school before they start at 5 years old.

If you would like any further information please con-tact the school office or just turn up on the day.

We would love some new children to come along and enjoy our lovely new space with us.
