Testing is regularly carried out at our workshop to meet all government and OH&S requirements. All equipment is

maintained to a high standard and can be viewed/inspected on request.

Kokeb has three departments of operation: Engineering and Design, Construction and Transportation. We also hire

out our plant and construction machinery & equipment to other contractors when they are not being used on our

own projects.

Engineering and Design Kokeb has a team of construction experts who are leaders in their respective fields. This repository of knowledge

gives us the knowhow and the competitive advantage in winning and executing mainly, but not limited to, design

and build construction work of a substantial size to the satisfaction of our clients and stakeholders.

• The Gallery. We constructed this prestigious Art and Jewelry Gallery in Middleway Road in Kabulonga

• Latitude 15 Degrees Hotel Lusaka. We constructed the second phase of the Latitude Hotel which included

“The Other Side” and “The Works”, which include entertainment and conference facilities and an additional

twenty rooms We also refurbished the old hotel side at Latitude which included 18 rooms

• Kabitaka School Hall on behalf of Kabitaka Hills Development Corporation for First Quantum Minerals in

Solwezi

• Mary Begg hospital Training Unit in Solwezi

• Construction of Kokeb’s own Mini-Industrial Complex in Solwezi. Currently leased to clients such as BIA

Roads & Civil Works

The construction of gravel roads in the new Kalumbila district on behalf of Kalumbila’s Trident foundation:

• 4.4 km Kisasa-North Township road

• Repaired the 5km Jiwundu road

• The Kisasa Clinic road and drainage system

• 9 km Shinengene-Kankozhi bypass road

Water Projects

In 2016/17, Kokeb Enterprises embarked in a project to supply safe drinking ground water to communities in Lumwana

and Kalumbila in the North-Western Province of Zambia, which are both off grid and without conventional piped water,

at a minimum sustenance fee.

The objective of the Filter Solar Water Kiosk, as is commonly known, is to involve best practice in engineering, solar

technology, community processes and investment economics to provide a facility that meets the aspirations of

communities on a sustainable and long term basis. The focus is on the consumer who must derive ultimate benefits

from the investment in terms of health and prevention of water borne and water enhanced diseases, increased

productivity, and improved life styles.

It is termed the Filter Solar Water Kiosk since it incorporates a pressure filter found in conventional or municipal

water treatment systems. The kiosks integrate important processes of conventional water supply though involving

small volumes but of acceptable high quality. These include water abstraction from the ground using solar

submersible pump, storage, treatment and metered consumption. Treatment is done by removal of contaminants,

mainly iron and manganese. The contaminants are removed by ion adsorption using a special media placed in the

pressure filter before the water is dispersed to the users for consumption.

The Filter Solar Water Kiosk collates various engineering components such a borehole, pump, electrical circuit

systems or controllers, photovoltaic arrays, conductors, storage tank, pressure filter a water meter and dispersing

taps. These installations are delicate and require utmost care in handling them if their design life span is to be

realised.

Transportation Ever since Kokeb’s inception in 2013, it has been growing steadily with its transportation business. Our portfolio of

vehicles include a fleet of tippers, water bowser and low-bed truck-trailers. Among the activities we have been

involved:

• Working with partners to supply sand to Kansanshi mine and Kabitaka housing development in Solwezi.

Our clients include Zamstruct Construction Services, Thor Development, Bresmar Building Supplies and

many others

• Kokeb's physical location is at the copper mining hotspot of Zambia, namely the North Western Province.

As such, transportation of heavy haulage forms an essential part of Kokeb's business activities. We have

transported heavy equipment and machinery throughout Zambia as well as cross-border to and from South

Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Tanzania. No equipment is large or small and no border is non-

impregnable. We go far and beyond to cater to our clients’ needs.

Operational Health &Safety Protection and safety of our workforce and the public are high priorities in our endeavour to establish an

outstanding company. Kokeb Enterprises Limited has always had a proactive approach and been dedicated in

providing resources to make sure safe working procedures and safety features on machines are in place. To this

end, we seek to inculcate a sense of ownership and responsibility in every employee on a daily basis with an

Directors Mr Moses Marcos, BEng (Chemical Engineering), MSc (Information Technology) and MSc (Project and Enterprise

Management), all obtained from University College London in the United Kingdom, is the director of Kokeb

Enterprises Limited. He has over 20 years’ experience in management and IT fields as well as over 10 years’

experience in the construction field in the United Kingdom and Zambia.

Mr Robert Van Rensburg is a co-director of Kokeb Enterprises Limited and has been involved in construction for

the past 36 years. He takes pride in having sound organizational skills and a professional work ethic. In the late

80’s he got involved in Turn Key developments, which included cluster homes and office/ industrial park

developments. His work portfolio includes refurbishment of all types of buildings, including, Insurance claim

rebuilds, hotels, lodges, Embassy and hotel refurbishment contracts. Under Robert’s control, any construction

project is carried out to the highest of standards due to his strong team management and leadership skills along

with his extensive experience in construction.
