However, some basic procedures will ensure that your pack holds up optimally. After each trip be sure to clean out your pack thoroughly. If it’s wet, hang it to dry. Loosen all the straps. Wash your pack every now and then. (Do not immerse travel packs with our High Road Wheeled Chassis.) SHARED FEATURES Suspension Kode Series suspension systems consist of an HDPE framesheet, LightWire™ peripheral alloy frame(42, 32 only) and a thermo-sculpted SnowShed™ backpanel for the utmost in carry and performance. Harness Every Kode Series pack features a fixed EVA foam padded harness featuring an adjustable sternum strap with safety whistle buckle and an insulated hydration sleeve. ErgoPull™ Hipbelt A fixed, EVA foam padded hipbelt with large zippered pockets , taped edges and our modified straight ErgoPull™ closure system is featured on every Kode Series pack. To operate the ErgoPull™, loosen the webbing enough so you can connect the center buckle. Then grasp the loose ends of the webbing on either side, and pull in and across evenly with both hands at the same time. Backpanel Dry Pocket Access Dual zippered backpanel entry into the main dry compartment provides access to gear and hydration when carrying skis or snowboards –and keeps the backpanel, harness and hipbelt out of the snow while gaining access. Kode 42: dual top load/Backpanel accessThe Kode 42 offers both backpanel and top load access to your dry pocket and hydration compartment. A) For backpanel entry, unclip the load lifter straps at the top of the harness to gain full access to the dual zipper pulls on the backpanel. B) For top load access, unclip the top pocket retention straps to flip back the top pocket and access through the skirt collar.

Kode 42: top PocketThe Kode 42 features a dual compartment zippered top pocket featuring an integrated helmet carry system, non scratch goggle sleeve and under lid zippered pocket for the utmost in organization and access.

Kode 42: Under lid rope CarryOn the underside of the Kode 42’s top pocket you will find the nylon webbing that serves as your pack’s rope carry system. A) Simply place your coiled rope beneath the nylon webbing and tension securely using the slider buckle. B) Reengage the top pocket via the top pocket retention straps and secure rope between top pocket and main pack body.

Kode 32 & 22: top Stash PocketA top zippered stash pocket with heat embossed, non scratch coating provides the ideal place to stow goggles and other smaller items.

Kode 32 & 22: Stowable helmet CarryThe Kode 32 features a stowable helmet carry system. To use, A) unzip the top slash compartment containing the helmetcarrycapandextendfrompocket.B) Locate the helmet icon at the top of the pack and click in helmet chinstrap. C) Pull helmet cap over helmet and engage two male buckles into the two female buckles located opposite the load lifter straps at the top of the pack. Reverse to remove.

Frontpanel Safety Kit accessAquickaccessextendedJ-zipperwithanextralargeopeningonthefrontpanelprovidesaccess to avalanche safety gear including shovel handle, probe and skin sleeves. A third zipper pull allows rapid access if a helmet, skis or snowboard are being carried on the pack.

hipbelt PocketsDualarticulatedzipperedhipbeltpocketsallow for one hand usage when stashing and accessing often needed smaller items.

ice tool CarryA single ice tool loop at the base of the pack works in conjunction with the upper ski carry straps to provide stable and secure ice tool carry.

a-Frame Ski CarryAn upper ski carry strap with cam-locking buckle and lower reinforced ski carry loop combine for A-frame style ski carry. To utilize, A) slip ski tails through lower ski loops tips up, B) clip the upper ski carry straps around the bindings of the skis and reengage the buckle, tensioning the straps and cam-locking the buckle into place for stable ski carry. Reverse to remove.

diagonal Ski CarryDiagonalskicarryutilizesonesideofthebottom front panel webbing and secures on the opposite side of the top front panel webbing. To utilize, A) loosen lower webbing via the slider buckle, slip ski tails into position beneath the reinforced area of the strap and re-tension strap securely. B) Unclipthetopcarry straps via the glove friendly buckle beneath the protective fabric loop and place upper portion of ski beneath the reinforced area of the opposite strap and re-attach the buckle. C)Usethecamlockingsliderbuckleandwebbingonthesideofthepack(A-framecarry)totensionskisintoplaceforstablecarry. Reverse to remove

Vertical Frontpanel Snowboard CarryDualupperandlowerreinforcedstrapwingson the reinforced fabric front panel of the Kode provide stable vertical snowboard carry. To use, A) undo lower webbing strap completely via the slider buckle, place snowboard bindings up into position beneath the rear binding and tension securely into place. B) Unclipthetopcarrystraps via the glove friendly buckle beneath the protective fabric loop and place upper portion of snowboard into position beneath the reinforced area of the opposite strap and re-attach the buckle, tensioning the strap into place across the snowboard and using the cam-locksliderbuckle(A-frameskicarry)totension for stable carry. Reverse to remove.

horizontal Backpanel Snowboard Carry A reinforced hipbelt wing provides quick horizontal snowboard carry across the backpanel of the pack. To use, A) place the pack backpanel up on the ground and position snowboard base up horizontally across the pack’s backpanel, resting it on the reinforced hipbelt wings with the bindings on either side of the pack. B) Load the board and pack onto your back tensioning the hipbelt and harness to secure the board horizontally between the pack’s backpanel and your pack. Reverse to remove.
