SMArT. A unique Portable Infotainment Device (P ID ),provides customers with an array of features – an onboard trip computer, navigation system, hands freeBluetooth® system and a multimedia player, all in asingle device. PID also has the ability to play yourmusic from the micro SD Card.

The radio in the Citigo contains a FM/AM receiver with rDS (radio data system), to display particularinformation about the radio station (where informationis available). In addition there is a CD player for CDsand MP3's with a 3.5mm Aux-in. The 3.5mm Aux-inaudio jack on the front panel of the radio is ideal for connecting external MP3 players.

Citigo S and SE models come with PID preparationwhich means should you wish, you can purchase a PIDunit at any point during ownership via accessories.

AuTHENTIC. The Citigo features lots of small, clever storage solutions.

ACCESSIBLE. The Citigo is the only

SKODA in our current range to offer 3 or 5

doors. In the 3-door model the front seats

The design of the side and curtainairbags demonstrate innovation andprogress in ŠKODA’s passive safety.Head thorax and side airbagscombine two airbags into a singlesystem helping to protect the front-seat passengers in the event of aside impact.

Despite its compactness, the Citigo hasas standard four airbags, ABS, a seat-belt reminder for those in the front andrear to fasten their seat belts, as well asESC and a tyre pressure monitor.

CArING.The Citigo has good levels of safety and technology.

With an array of standard passive and activesafety systems Citigo has been able to achieve afive star Euro NCAP rating (European New CarAssessment Programme).

Parking the Citigo is easy due to its excellentmanoeuvrability. There are three parking sensorsintegrated into the rear bumper, which check thecars distance from any obstacles. Optional on SE,Monte Carlo and SE L models.

With ISOFIX and top-tether fixingsystems as standard, Citigo has notoverlooked the smallest passengers.

Citigo also features advanced technology - anoptional 'City-safe' brake assist sensor that isdesigned to monitor the area in front of the vehicle,actively assisting braking at speeds below 19 mphwhen there is danger of a collision. Please note thatit is the driver's responsibility to be in control ofthe vehicle at all times.

Available on the SE and SE L trim levels is SKODA'sGreenTech, which consists of a stop/start system,brake energy recovery, lowered suspension and tyreswith reduced rolling resistance.

GrEENTECH

Stop/start During waiting times at red traffic lightsor whilst sitting in traffic, the enginewill switch off automatically, restartingas soon as the driver presses theclutch (or steps off the brake).

Recovery is another intelligenttechnology making use of theenergy used for driving. Wheneverthe driver steps off the acceleratoror presses the brake pedal (duringcoasting and braking phases), thebattery is charged. On subsequentacceleration or at constant speed,voltage can then be decreased,helping to reduce the strain onthe engine.

Calculating your tax liability

ABS: the anti-lock braking systemprevents the wheels from lockingduring heavy or emergency braking,enabling the vehicle to remainsteerable. When braking, wheel speed sensors measure the roadwheel speed and should one or more wheels start to lock the systemreduces brake pressure to that wheel.

Elements of the ABS System :-

• EBC: Electronic brake control. The engine brake torque controlregulates the power supply byintervening with the enginemanagement system.

ASG: the ASG differs from normalautomatic gearboxes by usingelectromechanical components tochange gear instead of a hydraulicallyoperated mechanism. This hasreduced weight and increased theprecision of control and reliability. The gearbox is controlled with thegear selector. It features the standardD (drive), N (neutral) and R (reverse)positions as well as having the abilityto use a sequential selection of gears(+/-). The ASG does not feature thenormal P (parking) position. Theengine must be started in position N,with the brake pedal depressed. The ASG transmission differs fromother automatic gearboxes in that iteliminates the creeping movementcommon with an automatictransmission after selecting forwarddrive mode D (Drive). The car movesoff after the accelerator has beenpressed and the engine speed hasincreased.

CAN Bus: the CAN Bus is anelectronic data bus which links thevarious different electronic controlsystems in the car. It ensures ideal co-ordination between systems andreduces the amount of wiring neededin the car.

Fuel cut-out: should one or more ofthe airbags inflate after an accident,this system automatically cuts outthe fuel supply, thus preventingsubsequent leakage of the diesel or petrol.

Trip Computer: the trip computer notonly features an impressive range ofdata displays, operating it is simplicityitself. A multifunction touch keyenables you to call up all relevant dataon the easy-to-read display. Featuresinclude external temperature, time,current fuel consumption, averagefuel consumption, miles driven andaverage speed.

TPM: Draws the drivers attention toany pressure loss in any of the tyres.Early warning can prevent damagefrom occurring as a result of an underinflated tyre or a defect that radicallychanges the cars behaviour anddriveability.

ESC: Electronic Stability Control is designed to stabilise the dynamichandling response of the vehicle bycounteracting any tendency towardsoversteer or understeer. The ESCconstantly compares the actualmovement of the vehicle withpredetermined values and accordingto the situation ESC reacts by brakingeach wheel individually (according todirection of slip) and automaticallyadjusting the engine’s output.

Elements of ESC system:-

• ASR: Anti-slip regulation tractioncontrol ensures the Citigo’s stabilitywhen pulling away or accelerating. If the engine power or torque beingtransmitted to the drive wheels istoo great, for example on a slipperyroad surface, engine torque isautomatically reduced until optimumroad holding returns, thuspreventing wheelspin. A lightindicates whether the ASR system ison. It can be manually switched off.

• EDL: the electronic differential lockcontinually compares the rpm of thedrive wheels, and if it identifies adifference between them whichcould lead to an individual wheelspinning, for example if the twowheels are on different types ofsurface or accelerating on wetleaves, the system brakes the wheel affected until uniform rpm of all drive wheels is restored.

• HBA: Hydraulic brake assistantincreases the optimal build-up ofbrake power. It ensures complete useof the brake system potential, thusshortening the braking distance.

Service Intervals

When you order your Citigo, you can choose whether your car is on a fixed or aflexible service regime. Your retailer will help you decide which regime suits howyour car will be driven, enabling your car to stay in the best possible shape.

Fixed regime: Service every 10,000 miles or one year (whichever comes first).This is recommended if the vehicle is likely to be used in the following way:

> Driven fewer than 10,000 miles per annum and/or> Mainly short journeys, drive mostly in towns or cities and/or> High vehicle loading/towing and frequent hill climbs and/or> Heavy accelerating and braking, using high revs.

The vehicle service regime does affect the entitlement service plan** if youchoose to purchase this.

Exclusions and limitationsWear and tear components will only be considered under the terms of thewarranty for the first of six months or 6,500 miles, whichever is soonest. These include, but are not limited to brake linings and disc pads, clutch releasebearings, clutch pressure plates and centre plates, tyres, wiper blades, seat andbackrest covers, floor coverings, spark plugs, batteries for key fobs and alarms, light bulbs and shock absorbers.
