1. Content — It contains information that people
need. But unlike reports, Presentations must
account how much information the audience can
absorb.
2. Structure — It has a logical beginning, middle,
and end. It must be sequenced & paced for easy
understanding.
3. Packaging — It must be well prepared. The
audience is at the mercy of a presenter.

handouts should be relevant to the audience.
Models and frameworks highlighted should provide
evidence – always give in-text and end-text refs
Literary prefer to charts and graphs than tables

visuals and by smooth, practiced delivery.
Multimedia, PPTs, audio, video, flip
charts, white/blackboards. Technology advances
have not replaced white/black boards.

Blues and Greens makes audience feel good or relaxed.
Bright colors like reds and yellows gets audience excited
& happy.
Using high contrast, such as dark backgrounds with light
lettering and Vs will make your presentation easier to read

2) Design and format appropriately for the
audience
Slides and handouts are your support material.
Limit your slides, only include necessary
information..
3) Tightly focus on the subject
Is your audience familiar with the topic? If subject
not familiar. Define basic terms.
If they’re experts follow-up with questions or
share experiences.

4. Include the right amount of text and
appropriate font

Make your presentation easy to read(use
