If you are arrested by immigration agents: · Do not answer any of their questions. Do not give them answers as to where you were born or how you entered the Unites States of America. · Do not share any documents unless it is a letter from a lawyer. Most importantly, do not provide any false documents! · Do not sign anything, specifically an order of voluntary departure without consulting with an attorney first. · Tell the immigration authorities: I do not wish to speak to you, answer your questions, or sign any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution. · Be sure to carry with you the Red Card to explain and assert your rights If immigration agents arrive to your home, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR! · A search warrant must be presented, if the agent does not have one do not open the door. · Do not sign anything, specifically an order of voluntary departure without consulting with an attorney first. · Do not disclose any information regarding where you were born or how you entered the United States of America. · Tell the immigration officer: I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge. What can parents do? Establish a plan for the care of your children in the case that you are detained. · Prepare a list with important documents of your children. · If you do not want ICE to pick up your children, then identify a person you trust to authorize them the power of legal representation in order to take financial responsibility and legal decisions regarding your children. · Complete a “Power of Attorney” so that another adult can care for your children temporarily. · Always have the telephone number of an immigration attorney with you. · If your children are born in the United States, also register them with the government of their country. · If you have children under the age of 18 who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents of the U.S. inform the agent. If the immigration agents perform a raid at your workplace: · Do not run. It is best to remain calm. · It is possible to escape the raid calmly by leaving the premises where the immigration agents are located. · If possible, take photographs and videos. · If ICE enters your workplace without a search warrant, ask them for their name and their badge number. The Ralph Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code Section 51.7) forbids acts of violence, because of (for example) your race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, political party, or your part in a labor dispute. Si la Migra lo arresta:· No conteste a ninguna pregunta. No les diga nada sobre donde nació ni cómo entró a los EE.UU.· No muestre ningun documento, a menos que sea una carta de un abodado. ¡Sobre todo, no muestre documentos falsos!· No �rme nada, particularmente una orden de salida voluntaria sin hablar con un abogado.· Dígale al o�cial de inmigración: Elijo no hablar o contestar preguntas, Me amparo bajo la enmineda #5 de la Constitución de los Estados Unidos de América.· Tenga consigo la Tarjeta Roja para Ejercer su Derecho a Permanecer en Silencio.

Si la Migra llega a su casa... ¡NO ABRA LA PUERTA!· Pedir una orden de cateo, si el o�cial no se la muestra no tiene que abrir la puerta.· No �rme nada, particularmente una orden de “Salida Voluntaria” sin hablar con un abogado.· No diga nada sobre donde nació ni cómo entró a los EE.UU.· Dígale al o�cial de inmigración: No le doy persmio de entrar en mi casa si usted no trae una orden de cateo �rmada por un juez. Me amparo bajo la enmienda #4 de la Constitución de los Estados Unidos de América.

¿Qué pueden hacer los padres? ... Tenga un plan para el cuidado de sus hijos si lo detienen.· Prepare una lista con documentos importantes de sus hijos.· Si no quiere que los agentes de ICE recojan a sus hijos Nombre a alguna persona de con�anza y otórguele el poder de representación legal para que tome decisiones �nancieras, legales y decisiones sobre el cuidado de sus hijos.· Tan pronto como pueda, pida al agente que le permita llamar a esa persona para que cuide a sus hijos.· Complete una declaración jurada de guardián legal (“Power of Attorney”) para que otro adulto pueda cuidar a sus hijos temporalmente.· Tenga dispuesto el número de teléfono de un abogado de inmigración. · Si sus hijos son nacidos en los Estados Unidos, también regístrelos ante el gobierno de su país.· Si usted tiene hijos menores de 18 años que sean Ciudadanos Americanos o Residentes Permanetes informele al agente.

Si la Migra hace una redada en su lugar de trabajo:· No hay que correr. Es mejor que mantenga la calma.· Es posible salir de la redada si tranquilamente procede fuera del área que la migra está ocupando.· Si le es posible tome fotos y video.· Si ICE entra SIN orden de cateo, pregunteles su nombre y número de placa.

La Ley Ralph de Derechos Civiles prohíbe los actos de violencia, o las amenazas de cometer actos de violencia debido a la raza, color, religión, ascendencia nacional, país de origen, edad, discapacidad, sexo, orientación sexual, a�liación política, o posición en una disputa laboral.
