YOUR MASTER PLANUB’s First-Year Seminar: Applied Learning and Study Skills will provide you with a toolkit applicable for years to come. Not only will you develop skills to use in the classroom, you’ll also build a four-year college plan and start working on a portfolio that could help launch your career.

HONORS PROGRAMUB’s Helen P. Denit Honors Program gives you a chance to enrich your education through enhanced honors courses. You might visit Washington, D.C., or New York City; develop a marketing plan for a client; conduct original research; or attend arts events. Honors students have access to exclusive workshops, events and trips as well as their own private lounge, kitchen and computer lab.

ADMISSION NOTIFICATIONProspective students who apply as freshmen can expect one of three decisions contingent upon past achievement and potential for future success:

FULL ADMISSIONBe admitted as a freshman and start right away at UB. Summer Achievement InstituteTake refresher courses in math, writing and reading over the summer. If you pass the free, four-week program, you can enroll as a freshman that fall.

FRESHMAN TRANSITION PROGRAMTake classes taught by Community College of Baltimore County faculty on UB’s campus. After you complete the two- to three-semester program, you’ll be admitted to UB as a transfer freshman, bringing with you all your transferable credits.

PATHWAYS TO GRADUATE STUDYWe can help you accomplish your goals faster with our accelerated bachelor’s to master’s degree programs. For selected programs, you can pay undergraduate tuition rates for up to 9 graduate credits later in your undergraduate career that can be applied to both degrees, saving you approximately a semester of time and money in graduate school.
