www.SueloUrbano.org is an open and collaborative hub to leverage the effective

mobilization of knowledge and information to improve responsible land

governance in LAC region.

Launched in 2015, it works as the virtual interface of two initiatives of

Habitat for Humanity International in LAC region:

• Solid Ground, a global advocacy campaign to improve access to land

for shelter

• Urban CSO Land Tools Cluster, part of GLTN / UN-HABITAT

NATIONAL LEVEL: Land Conflicts Mapping App (BRAZIL)

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BRAZIL will use

this App to:

- Map and gather information about existing

land conflicts and threats of eviction;

- Raise awareness and build the capacity of

people living in informal settlements to

activate mechanisms to promote and

defend their tenure security;

The evidences and information will be used to:

- Raise awareness duty bearers about their

roles and mechanisms to ensure tenure

security, as one of the basic elements of the

right to adequate housing;

- Develop policies recommendations to

ensure public defense for vulnerable

families involved in urban land conflicts, and

advocate for their adoption and implementation;
