    The Conservatives are asking for yourvote in local and general elections on6th May. We want the opportunity toprove that we can run the countrybetter than the current Labourgovernment, which plunged us intothe deepest peacetime recession inBritish history, and to prove that wewill make better local representativesthan L abours invisible Knights Hillward councillors.

    But we know that if you have nevervoted Conservative before, it could be abig step. So we are asking this: lend usyour vote for this election. If we deliver onour promises, vote for us again next timeround. If we fall short of what you expect,vote us out.

    We want the chance to serve ourcountry and our community, and we verymuch hope that you will give us thatopportunity.

    Hard work Give West Norwoodresidents the voice on LambethCouncil which they have lackedfor the last four years.

    Quality of life Look out for thelittle things flytipped rubbish,broken streetlights, graffiti, dog

    fouling that make our area lesspleasant.

    Education Build a new primaryschool in West Norwood

    Libraries Invest in more booksfor West Norwood Library andinvestigate cheaper ways ofbuying them.

    Housing Give tenants a biggersay in how their housing is runand bring hundreds of emptycouncil homes back into use.

    Transport Invest to repair theboroughs potholed roads andpavements.

    The Conservatives are

    the largest party in the

    constituency, with twelve

    sitting councillors. Other

    parties lag behind, and

    the Liberal Democrats

    have only three

    councillors and even

    these are way off

    towards Peckham. The

    only way to avoid a

    Labour coalition with theLibdems, headed by

    Gordon Brown is to vote
