Supreme Council has an-nounced the winners of the Star Council Award. The award goes to councils that have met all deadlines with reports to Supreme, met insurance and membership quotas, and have demonstrated programs in support of the knight’s four main principals of Unity, Charity, Fellowship and Patriotism. A total of 1078 councils throughout North America were awarded the recognition signifying accomplishments for the 2010-2011 fraternal year. Councils having achieved all
the above plus a 200% growth in membership were recognized with a Double Star Council Award. There were only three hundred and forty-eight councils in the entire North America and only thirteen in Ontario receiving this award. Council OLMC 13405 was one of those recipients. Congratulations to all Council 13405 members. Thank you fellow Parishioners for supporting us and helping the council to achieve the award.

Brother Bill Kowaliw won $23.00 in the 50/50 draw in the June 20 general membership meeting. Brother Joe Horwath’s name was drawn in the attendance draw. Since Brother Joe was not pre-sent, he forfeited the $40.00 prize. Brother Ken St. Denis won $27.50 in the 50/50 draw held in the September 19th meeting. Brother David Bussiere missed out on a $60.00 attendance draw
prize because he was not in at-tendance. Brother Joe Steiner won the 50/50 draw of $29.00 in the Oc-tober 17th meeting. Brother Ian Docherty’s name was drawn in the attendance draw. Since Brother Ian was not pre-sent, he does not receive the $80.00 prize. The attendance draw prize for the November 21 meeting will be $80.00.
