The Federal Government’s decision to remove the one cent coin from circulation has provide an excellent opportunity to capitalize on this event by collecting these pennies that have accumulated in jars and bottles in our homes. A blue bin in the church foyer is the collection site every week end until December 31,2012. All donations are greatfully accepted including silver coins, American currency and cheques. The project received the approval of Fr. Dominic Barber and the parish administration. To date collected and rolled coins have provide for the purchase of seven wheelchairs.
