Our local area has a lot to offer buyers; it is home to the Peak District, Cannock Chase, Sutton Park, Twycross Zoo, Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park. Edgbaston cricket ground also hosts many national and international events.
This far from London, our market continues to be very price sensitive with buyers being cautious. We are often asked to quote a higher guide price than we have advised and it rarely works. It can affect the level of enquiries, particularly with knowledgeable buyers.
However, deals continue to be done and we have achieved some excellent sales. The market for town and village houses is far busier than for rural properties at present. Travelling costs are an issue and many young families want to be part of a community. Beautifully presented houses in good order are selling better than houses needing work.
