The agenda will include: (1) Election of three new board members, (2) Approval of 2011-2012 proposed budget. Board Notes December 2010 1. Stewart Vander Stoep opened with devotions. 2. Principal’s Report was received for infor- mation. Nancy Hospers will resume her teaching duties after Christmas break. Tracy Eekhoff is on maternity leave. Howard Gre- vengoed has resumed his maintenance du- ties. 3. Committee Reports Education Committee : Approved revising the Enrichment Program to allow 7th grade stu- dents to take 8th grade math if they meet cur- rent guidelines. Approved revising the Pre- school Enrollment Policy to state: “Under ex- ceptional circumstances students may attend the morning and afternoon preschool classes. These circumstances must be presented to the Education Committee and then atten- dance must be approved by the Education Committee.” Promotion Committee : Committee is work- ing on a promotional PowerPoint. Building Committee : Boiler work will be done over Christmas break. The work of all the committees was supported and approved. 4. Board members are to be thinking of possible board nominees 5. The little guy weighed in at 6 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21 inches long. We praise God for the safe arrival of Levi and ask for continued prayers for the Eekhoffs as they adjust to the new addition to their family.

Biannual Society Meeting Hull Christian School will hold a Biannual Society Meeting on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30 PM in the music room. The agenda will include: (1) Election of three new board members, (2) Approval of 2011-2012 proposed budget.

Board Notes December 2010

1. Stewart Vander Stoep opened with devotions. 2. Principal’s Report was received for infor-

mation. Nancy Hospers will resume her teaching duties after Christmas break. Tracy Eekhoff is on maternity leave. Howard Gre-vengoed has resumed his maintenance du-ties.

3. Committee Reports

Congratulations to Tracy Eekhoff

and her husband Eric on the birth

of Levi Jon born on December 16.

The little guy weighed in at 6 lbs.

12 oz. and was 21 inches long. We

praise God for the safe arrival of Levi and ask for

continued prayers for the Eekhoffs as they adjust

to the new addition to their family.

Marianne Bleeker and her husband, Eric, live on a farm SE of

Hull and attend Sioux Center Bethel CRC. They have 4 chil-

dren. Justin is a 4th grader and Claire is a 1st grader; both

attend HCS. Barret is 4 years old and Lydia is 2 years old.

Marianne is employed at Trans Ova Genetics and Sioux Center

Swine AI, and Eric is employed with Select Sires and feeds

cattle.

Mike Covey and his wife, Jackie, live in Hull and attend Hope

CRC. They have 3 children. Brady is in 5th grade and Rachel

is in 3rd grade; both at HCS. Addison is 3 years old. Mike is

the Head of Maintenance at BI Vetmedica in Sioux Center and

Jackie is the Fiscal Director at Community Health Partners.

Eric Ribbens and his wife, Stacy, live in Hull and attend

American Reformed Church. They have 3 children. Jenna is

freshman at B-H. Sadie is a 3rd grader, and Owen a pre-

schooler; both at HCS. Eric is part owner of Greenworld Inc.

in Sioux Center, and Stacy is a hair stylist and owner of

Attactions.

Rod Te Krony and his wife, Connie, live in Hull and attend

First CRC. They have 3 children. Ryan attends Iowa Central

College, David is a sophomore at WCHS and Marcus is a 8th

grader at HCS. Rod is the owner of Rod’s Sanitation and

Connie gives piano lessons, works part-time at WCHS and

helps Rod with the sanitation business.

Matt Vande Hoef and his wife, Melanie, live in Hull and at-

tend Hope CRC. They have 4 children. MaKinzie is in 8th

grade, Matias is in 3rd grade, Mason is in 1st grade and Maile

is in preschool - all at HCS. Matt is in sales at Van’s Imple-

ment and Melanie works as a part-time RN at the Sioux Cen-

ter Hospital.

Scott Westra and his wife, Andrea, live in Hull and attend

Hope CRC. They have 2 children. Macy is in Kindergarten at

HCS and Logan is almost 4 years old. Scott is an engineering

technician in the Natural Sciences Division at Dordt College

and Andrea is a paraprofessional in the Special Ed. classroom

at MOC-Floyd Valley Elementary School in Orange City.

Michon Moget & Katelyn Bolkema Student Teachers at HCS My name is Michon Moget. I am a senior at Northwestern College and will graduate in May with a teaching degree as well as 2 endorsements: early child-hood and reading. I grew up in Sioux Center, Iowa where I attended the public schools. I will be here at Hull Christian School for a total of 12 weeks. The first half of my student teaching will be with Mrs. Fedders, the preschool teacher. I

then will be moving onto Kindergarten with Mrs. Feenstra. My name is Katelyn Bolkema. My parents are Leon and Deb of Rock Valley. I have an older brother, Kyle, and a younger brother, Kelly. I attended Rock Valley Christian and Western Christian. I am currently a senior at Trinity Chris-tian College in Palos Heights, IL. I am majoring in elementary education with a minor in history and will graduate in May. I am also busy planning a wedding for this summer. I am getting married on June 17 to my fiancé Devin Bonest-roo. Right now, I am student teaching at Hull Christian under Ms. Kim Beim-ers. I am teaching 5th - 8th history and 6th grade math, reading, and lan-guage. It's been a wonderful experience so far, I've really enjoyed working at

Hull Christian!
