History

The villa, built by famous architect Ulrik Plesner in 1914, belonged to King Christian X and his Queen, Alexandrine.

After them, their younger son, Prince Knud and his wife, Princess Caroline Mathilde, took over.

Their heirs, however, sold the house to the Klitgaarden Foundation in 1997.

It was thoroughly renovated, from 2000 offering 13 attractive single and one splendid double room, two venues, and 3 studios, all year round.
