Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu Kleiner Mönch SOFT MALTY AROMA WITH THE RADIANT GOLD-YELLOW COLOUR. Our “Little Monk” is the novice under the old-established brew- ing specialities of the Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu. A soft malty aroma and the radiant gold-yellow colour give evidence to its sunny temperament. The Kleiner Mönch owes its rounded body not only to the selected caramel malt ingredients and the high original wort gravity; it is in particular the finely balanced formula and a special brewing method which gives the Kleiner Mönch its bubbly light-heartedness. Its youthful liveliness is its excuse for not having to bow to dis- ciplinary rules - the uncomplicated Kleiner Mönch can there- fore be drunk straight from the bottle - and still remain socially acceptable. Whether enjoyed at jaunty summer parties or just every day – the Kleiner Mönch makes its grand appearance at any event. History and other stories Lets go back to Alpirsbach, on 25th August 1435: The little monk Amselmus was fervently devoted to his morning prayers. His youthful temperament is anything but meek and submissive and having to cope with the spiritual part of the Benedectine rules “ora et labora” (pray and work) is almost too much for him to master. That’s why his first task of the day suits him perfectly: Together with his fellow brethren the little monk rolls the woo- den casks full of freshly brewed “barley juice” over the cobble- stoned yard of the monastic brewery and loads them onto the waiting dray carts. If there was one thing that would have filled this monastic scholar with great pride on this fresh Black Forest morning, it is the fact that over 500 years later he was to give his name to a bubbly beer speciality of the Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu. The Sommelier’s attest Lustrous gold, crystal clear with a finely pored head of foam. In fragrance, predominantly malty aromas with a hint of green apple. First sip pleasantly sparkling, followed by a full, round body with a background of mild hop bitterness. Soft finish with a hint of honey. Ideal for a quick drink in-between. Kleiner MönchSOFT MALTY AROMA WITH THE RADIANT GOLD-YELLOW COLOUR.

Our “Little Monk” is the novice under the old-established brew-ing specialities of the Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu.

Its youthful liveliness is its excuse for not having to bow to dis-ciplinary rules - the uncomplicated Kleiner Mönch can there-fore be drunk straight from the bottle - and still remain socially acceptable.

Whether enjoyed at jaunty summer parties or just every day – the Kleiner Mönch makes its grand appearance at any event.
