Test Tower inauguration
Kleemann inaugurated the first elevator testingtower in Greece
as well as the fourth largestprivately owned in Europe on the 24 th
of June inKilkis.
The tower provides testing capabilities for high-speed
elevators, initially at 6 meters/second.Since these lifts are made
for skyscrapers up to100 floors (300 meters high), with this
investmentKleemanns management aims to meet theneeds of large
markets such as the USA, theMiddle and Far East.
With 18 floors and five testing shafts, the tower is61 meters
high. Its construction began in 2008and was completed in 2010,
while the totalinvestment exceeded 5 million euros.
Partners and associates from all around theworld attended the
inauguration, and enjoyed the
hospitality offered by the companys people in asetting that was
especially arranged for purposesof the event.

Production in China
Meanwhile, the creation of a production base inChina is under
works by Kleemann, through itssubsidiary Hong Kong Elevator Systems
Limited.With this investment, amounting to 2 million euros,the
group aims to penetrate the broader area ofSoutheast Asia and
Oceania.
The growth prospects of this market are particularlysignificant
considering that, given the economicgrowth and urbanization trends,
it creates 50% ofthe global demand for lifts.
This decision once again reveals the extrovert nature of the
company, which exports 60% of itsproduction to more than 60
countries, having subsidiaries in Turkey, Serbia, Romania,
Englandand Hong Kong and sales offices in Germany, Russia and the
United Arab Emirates.Moreover, management recently decided to
establish a representation office in Poland. At thesame time
Kleemann is the market leader in Greece.
Tribute in Elevator World
In its latest issue of June 2011, the globallycirculated
American magazine Elevator World,the most important magazine in the
industry,ranked Kleemann amongst the seven majorelevator
manufacturers in the world.
