LIVEABLE AND SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Executives Forum
Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria, has been named the Worlds Most Liveable
City for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012 by the Economist. Before that, it has
consistently been in the top three in the list.
This achievement has been due to the capabilities and commitment to sustainability ofVictorian companies, particularly those in the urbanisation and infrastructure sector. The
Victorian governments sustainability policies and programs have also supported this
achievement.
Malaysian companies have the opportunity for an exchange with some of the companies that
have built Melbourne, during a Super Trade Mission to Malaysia on 17 18 June 2013. Among
the Mission delegates are companies from the development, construction, infrastructure and
urban systems sector.
An Executives Forum will be held for Victorian companies to share their leading-edge
expertise, technologies and products. They are also keen to learn about Malaysias policies and
programs on sustainable development, and to establish linkages with their Malaysiancounterparts.
