3 Hour KITK Event for ~35 Dixie Manor Kids

Growing Your Own Food

Kids planted several herbs to learn about growing their own food. They took these home to plant in

their own yards!

Importance of Exercise

JLBR Volunteers led the kids in Yoga and challenged them to a jump rope contest to show them some fun, inexpensive ways to stay active!

Cooking a Healthy Meal

kids to make a delicious and

nutritious meal!

toppings such as granola,

strawberries, & bananas for a healthy snack!

The day ended with a raffle for a Wii! All the kids took home goodie bags of healthy snacks, bottled water, and

jump ropes.
