Namdor is a style of kitchen door finish which ismade in Tasmania by the Kitchen Centre. Namdoris the only melamine door with a shaker styleprofile on the market. It comes in 65 colouroptions, and is available in a range of finishes.Namdor is built locally at our Launceston basedfactory and was designed by business founderLeigh Rodman. The Namdor product is a cost effective alternativeto other profiled doors on the market. Namdor is up to 25mm in thickness improving thestrength of the door and sturdiness. The design isalso available as a sliding door and is a greatoption to tie in the rest of the room or conceal thepantry.
What is Namdor? As you can see from the images above and feature on the following page Namdor is such a versatile design. The images show a striking country feel which can be enhanced further with trendy country style accessories. On the following page is a beautiful Hampton's style kitchen also using the Kitchen Centre's exclusive Namdor product. Both the country and Hampton's style bring great vibrancy to the room in different ways. The design is proving to become a very popular product to be on the market.

This year we have seen kitchens incorporating plenty of colours and textures to incorporate unusual and innovative kitchen designs. Timber bench tops with wooden handles and knobs are taking off and we are seeing less of the classic white. Dark cabinetry has also been very popular particularly the matte finishes. We have also seen some popularity with the butlers sink in the home which also serves as a great function with the added width and depth. There has also been an increase in black matte tap ware which looks particularly impressive with a range of bench tops from stone to timber. In addition, a primary focus has been to provide designs that are innovative for storage and functionality. The Aventos Cupboards lift easily particularly with overhead cupboards to allow for easy access and reach. The Aventos cupboards can also be made electric so that with one slight touch of your hand it will lift and close. This is perfect for ease of access for these cupboards. How can we maximise space in the kitchen when we are designing new kitchen cabinetry? There are a number of design options available particularly with regards to inner drawers. A. Corner Cupboard with Bi-folding Door Pros - Inexpensive - No void area - Can buy carrousels to eliminate hard to reach areas - Commonly used in small kitchens as it utilises the whole space Cons - There are some hard to reach areas in furthest corners - Carrousels and similar accessories can be expensive - Carrousels and similar accessories don’t utilise the whole space because they are circular and the cupboard is not - Items stored on the bottom shelf can be more difficult to access and see. B. Corner Drawers Pros - They are a neat way of gaining access to the back of the corner in your kitchen where normally you would have a
