    Printing ApplicationsKIP Request is an easy-to-use application that provides remote users with anefficient method of printing single documents or collated sets through thenetwork.

    KIP PrintNet is a web browser based printing utility compatible with standard webbrowsers which shares a uniform interface with KIP Request software.

    KIP AutoCAD drivers enable printing directly from AutoCAD technical designapplications.

    The KIP Windows driver enables printing directly from all types of Windows basedapplications.

    Standard TCP/IP connectivity ensures easy integration with UNIX based softwareapplications.

    Name Feature / Function

    Output Format Select the preferred print language.

    Orientation Select portrait or landscape document direction.

    ScalingDesignate the percentage of desired enlargement or

    reduction.

    Copies Selects the total number of prints.

    Media Type Selects the output media type.

    Paper SizeSelect from standard pre-set paper sizes. In addition, usershave the ability to create custom page sizes.

    Resolution Designate dpi of the printed image to match the KIP printer.

    Halftone Colour AdjustmentControl greyscale colour range including brightness andcontrast.

    Management Allows accounting to be used from Windows applications.

    HeaderPlaces document identification text in the margin of aprinted document. Users may designate the size andlocation of the header.

    FolderFor use with KIPFold systems. Assigns folding instructions to adocument.

    Mirrored Output Documents print as a mirror image of the native data.

    Reverse CollateReverse the print order of a multi-page document - lastpage first, first page last.

    On the left side of the main screen are buttons to allow advanced settingsand configuration of prints.

    Manage: Manage the print queue

    Pen configuration: Control pen widths, dither patterns and raster density

    Force Size: Enlargement/reduction of image and page size

    Stamp: Create and apply text and/or image watermarks

    Fold: Assigns folding instructions to documents

    Header: Places document identification text in the margin of a printed document.

    Mirror: Mirrors the print data

    Invert: Reverses the image

    View: Activate or deactivate print preview capability

    Retrieve Scanned Images using KIP Request*Scanned Images may be retrieved by navigating to the KIP mailboxin the Folder Selection area of KIP Request. The names and locationsof image mailboxes are configured at the KIP 3000 operator panel.

    Select the mailbox containing the desired scanned images.Images may be previewed and printed before transmission byfollowing the standard method of print preview in KIP Request. After preview, simply rightclick on mailbox and select "Transfer current scan directory" to transfer the image files to alocal drive or other networked storage location.

    6 User Preferences /Accounting Features

    Apply settings related to pen tables, media, stamping,

    folding, copy count and print/image size. In addition,password protected fields allow for job accounting includinguser name, job number and description.

    7 PreviewAny file in the file window may be instantly previewed. Afterselecting a file, click the preview window to view.

    8 StatusDisplays current printer status, installed media and meter infovia network connection. Real Time information isautomatically updated.

    9 Job Preparation Displays print order and settings applied to each file.

    10 Drop Box

    Provides "drag and drop" file selection capability from

    Windows Explorer for user convenience.

    11 ToolbarProvides easy access to advanced features including pentables, enlargement/reduction, stamp, fold, mirror, invert, etc.
