Pool Season Begins

Thanks to the Chrismans for

getting a new pool this year and

being so generous to share it with

the whole neighborhood. Wehave enjoyed the swimming and

fellowship we have already had

and look forward to a summer

filled with more good times. We

love our neighbors!

Chicken Coop Expansion

J.A.D.E.S Chicken Farm is

planning a chicken coop

expansion. We have collected

supplies and drawn up the plans

and hope to get to work on it thisMemorial Day Weekend.

Hopefully we will be able to get

some new chicks in and expand

our egg production so we have

more to share with the

neighborhood.

BEST MOTHER’S DAY EVER!!by Malisa Wetmore

The wonderful children of Kingswood Estates know how tomake moms feel special! On May 8, 2016, the Spa ofKingswood Estates opened with refreshing rosewater foot bathsprovided by Deo Greene. Deo and Jackie Hagen helped to

refresh the mothers with drinks and cool towels. StephanieHagen provided fresh cut cucumber slices for weary eyes anddrinks. Eli Greene, Kira Chrisman and Lillian Payne joined Deo,Jackie and Stephanie in providing massages, manicures andpedicures, and chocolates! All of the moms were delighted andrefreshed after the afternoon of pampering. Mandy Mahanremarked, “I particularly liked the cucumber massage.” EricChrisman tried to sneak into the exclusive event by wearingone of Nancy’s dresses and hats. While he looked really great,the beard was a dead giveaway that he didn’t belong. The staffquickly invited him to leave and Nathan and Keenan providedfurther nerf gun security. Best Mother’s Day - continued

After the spa closed everyonegathered for an Ocho de Mayo por

les Madres potluck at theChrisman’s pool. The food andcompany were marvelous. Themoms were again surprised bythe thoughtful children of K.E.Lillian delivered flowers andspecial handmade cards thatshe made with Jackie and Deo.Stephanie and Jackie broughtroses and chocolates to themothers as well. Sheryl Gates,resident grandmother said,

“Thank you to Jackie,Stephanie & Lillian for thebeautiful flowers andchocolate! It was truly a veryspecial afternoon & evening.”Amber Wingfield noted that“the flowers were heavenly.”

As a resident mom of K.E. Iwould like to say that we areso blessed with remarkable andthoughtful children, as well as

the greatest neighbors in theworld! Thank you to everyonewho worked so hard to makemoms feel so special andloved.

Homeschooling End of the Year Review

Homeschool this year was really fun and exciting. What I really

liked about it was that I could get a lot more work in because we

don't have to wait for the teacher to scold the misbehaving kids.

I actually liked homeschool so much that I wouldn't change a

thing about it. Some of my favorite activities this year include

trips to Legoland for homeschool days and making rock candy

and borax crystals. My favorite book I read this year was

Familiars: Secrets of the Crown. I really enjoyed studying

middle eastern food and wish we had done more with that topic.

I think I will miss homeschooling but I'm looking forward to

Lavilla Middle School next year.
