PANGYO HYUNDAI DEPARTMENT STORE SOUTH KOREA

Hyundai Department Store opened its 15th mall in Pangyo, in the Gyeonggi Province of Seoul, Korea. Spanning over 28,000 sqft, the mega shopping mall is home to a number of global retail brands making their entrance into the Korean market. In celebration of its opening, the mall commissioned Prop Studios to create a series of whimsical bespoke installations and window displays inspired by the theme ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. Unlike traditional mall layouts, partitions between stores were removed to make way for grand open spaces that showcase the elegant finishes and uninterrupted sightlines that add to the shopping experience for consumers.

PARKSON – PLAYUPMALAYSIA

Creating a new, contemporary identity and adding personality t o Pa rkson ’s l i ne o f departmental stores, Parkson – PlayUp is a multi-brand retail haven for discerning style mavens. The interior features a sleek, modern design with an open, undulating layout that allows for easy navigation of key product areas, including skincare, nail, fragrance and colour. Employing the use of waterjet cutting in the flooring, a circulation path which doubled as a way-finding route was created. The chic space is dominated by a monochromatic colour scheme with pops of bright hues introduced for a dramatic, contrasting effect.

MITSUI OUTLET PARK KLIA SEPANG

MALAYSIA

Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is the latest outlet mall to hit the shores of Malaysia, housing a wide selection ranging from mid to high-end brands at only a fraction of the original retail price. Strategically located near Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the outlet mall promises tourists and shoppers a fuss-free retail experience in the 474,000 sqft retail space with its easy-to-navigate layout and clear wayfinding signage.

MARUTI SUZUKIINDIA

Providing discerning customers a holistic hospitality experience, Maruti Suzuki recently launched a new range of premium showrooms named the Nexa. These showrooms feature classy monochrome palettes of stainless steel and lacquered glass, while mirrored and glass cladded walls create the illusion of an endless room. Plush leather furniture, contemporary lighting and iPad controlled LED displays adorn the interiors, taking the in-store experience to the next level.

CGV THAO DIEN PEARLVIETNAM

Consistently refining the cinematic experience, CGV Thao Dien Pearl in Ho Chi Minh City is a refreshing sight. The cinema boasts an industrial yet vintage ambience featuring exposed pipes, ducts and brick walls, complete with shipping containers that were modified to house the F&B counters. Screening rooms were equipped with lounges and flashy film posters, while individual movie theatres were furnished with plush seating and the latest Dolby surround sound system.

COLE HAANINDONESIA

Iconic American footwear and accessories brand, Cole Haan’s boutique in Jarkarta’s Grand Indonesia, marks its first foray into the country. The 905 sqft store features a blend of traditional and contemporary design elements from classic wooden panels to perforated metal fixtures in an elegant env i ronmen t . E l eva ted table displays and sleek shelving units accentuate the products for optimal visual merchandising and organisation, while maintaining a distinct appeal that attracts both female and male shoppers.

HARLEY DAVIDSONVIETNAM

The new Harley Davidson f lagship store in Hanoi showcases t he h i gh -performance vehicle in an experience-driven fashion. Unlike traditional layouts that simply display motorcycles, the store utilises bold graphics and visual merchandising to create the perfect experience for customers. Elements such as dark textured wood and stainless steel metal platforms fit seamlessly with the concrete wal ls, emphasis ing the masculinity and strength of the all-American motorcycle brand.

SKECHERSJAPAN

Skechers cleverly combines industrial chic with urban elements and accents in their Okinawa store. Exposed brick walls and the surrounding timber flooring fills the 1,900 sqft store, as it plays host to a vibrant display of shoes. The industrial theme was mirrored within the store through the use of gunmetal steel fixtures. Taking into consideration the tropical environment of Okinawa, the design team incorporated materials that were resistant to moisture & humidity, while maintaining cohesiveness throughout the store.

ALLSAINTSSOUTH KOREA

Acclaimed British fashion brand, AllSaints, continues its expansion into Asia as it opened a new branch in Seoul’s LOTTE Department store located in Jamsil. Known for its sharp-edged rocker vibe clothing, the brand translates its iconic style through the interior which displays a distinct industrial shopfront look. The design team carefully balances faux concrete wall on rough lumber flooring to create a subtle tinge of warmth – a brand identity that is consistent with stores throughout the world.

DELVAUXSINGAPORE

Established in 1829, fine leather luxury goods house Delvaux made its Southeast Asian debut at Scotts Square, Singapore. Delvaux’s new boutique concept was imagined by Luxembourg-based artists Martine Feipel and Jean Bechameil, as well as architectural firm Vudafieri Saverino Partners in Milan. Airy greys and whites dominate the interior, which is peppered with industrial wire-mesh panelling and elegant brass fittings. Drawing inspiration from traditional Flemish architecture, the space integrates the tradition and refined luxury associated with Delvaux, with a contemporary aesthetic.

BVLGARI INDONESIA

The leading Italian luxury brand synonymous with unmatched prestige and style opened a new boutique in Plaza Senayan at the heart of central Jakarta. Offering glamour and luxury, the 1,400 sqft boutique features a neutral palette that creates the perfect backdrop to display Bvlgari’s jewellery and watches. Special attention was paid to create a detailed lighting system which highlights the jewelry on display within elegant glass-encased dark wooden framed cabinets. The “Pantheon Mesh” is an intricate bronze-finished lattice-work that is part of the façade, reminiscent of the luxury befitting the brand’s precious gems and merchandise.

ERMENEGILDO ZEGNAMACAU

Luxury menswear brand, Ermenegildo Zegna opened its new boutique to the public at the all-new Studio City Macau. Occupying 4,000 sqft of retail space, the sophisticated interior, a blend of classic meets contemporary, underscores the brand’s rich heritage and modern style. Featuring dark rosewood and mahogany juxtaposed against interwoven metallic strands, the interior walls complimented the leather sofas and rich-patterned fabric armchairs. An exclusive experience for customers!

PRADAVIETNAM

Prada opened a new store in one of Hanoi’s historic buildings overlooking the renowned August Revolution Square. A joint collaboration between Kingsmen’s Singapore & Vietnam offices, the store stands out with its impressive façade of whitewashed stone pillars, accompanied by a series of windows and light boxes inserted into black marble volumes. The brand’s signature black and white chequered marble flooring fills the central atrium. The space leads off to symmetrical rooms which are characterised by beige carpet flooring and ebony floorboards housing the women and men’s collection respectively. The luxurious setting is completed with green velvet ottomans for a truly lavish experience.

H&MTAIWAN

Swedish fast fashion giant H&M is rapidly expanding into the Taiwanese market with multiple stores rolling out across the republic. While each store is unique, its design consistently reflects a chic and contemporary environment, drawing customers in for a fun-filled shopping experience.

YATA HONG KONG

YATA at APM Millennium City 5 presents an interesting retail concept that offers a blend of Japanese-lifestyle options with an international touch under one roof. A cut above its existing network of stores, YATA at APM’s cavernous interior spans 26,910 sqft and features new zones such as an Italian deli counter and a coffee shop.

LONG BAR BY RAFFLES AT DFS DUPLEX

SINGAPORE

This unprecedented project brought together two of Singapore’s most well-known icons in one place for the convenience of travellers. Raffles Hotels & Resorts teamed up with DFS to introduce the popular Long Bar experience and Singapore Sling to all at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Offering a unique DFS wines & spirits experience for discerning travellers, the 500 sqft space features a tasting bar where guided tastings, monthly interactive activities, and cocktail mixology master classes are hosted. Designed by Masamichi Katayama, Long Bar by Raffles aims to re-create the original Raffles Singapore Long Bar experience by channelling a classic colonial design. The main bar features large expanses of dark mahogany timber, brass fittings and bar stools, juxtaposed against tiled floors with jade green lamp shades to enhance the experience for travellers.

GREYHOUND CAFÉTHAILAND

Offering a casual yet stylish dining experience, Greyhound Café’s newest outlet at Mega Bangna, Bangkok occupies a corner space with floor to ceiling glass panels on one end, filling the interiors with natural daylight. Subtle references to the establishment’s signature industrial chic vibe are visible throughout the café. Sporting steel display counters, exposed pipes and ducts, and a sleek monochrome colour scheme, Greyhound Café makes for a perfect place to unwind after a retail therapy session.

PIE FACEJAPAN

Popular Australian casual dining chain Pie Face made its way to Japan, with a new store in Shibuya Tokyo. The restaurant’s cosy interior was kept simple with Japanese manufactured elements of wood and bricks. Adding a touch of elegance to the dining experience, the design team incorporated marble and bonded wood-patterned porcelain tiles complemented by an interior palette of delicate greys.

LIG NEX1 AT SEOUL ADEX 2015 SOUTH KOREA

The 2015 Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition was a showcase of Korea’s top players in the aerospace & defence industries. The annual event attracted over 370 exhibitors from 30 countries and the Kingsmen team was tasked to design and construct LIG Nex1’s double storey 643 sqm stand. As one of the leaders in Korea’s defence industry, LIG showcased flagship weapons that reflect the company’s ongoing research and development efforts. Adding character to the stand’s design were missile models anchored at one end, creating a buzz amongst visitors. Overlooking the entire exhibit, the second storey led away from the main hall to a casual lounge where informal discussions were held.

BAIYUN AIRPORT AT WORLD ROUTES

2015SOUTH AFRICA

Held in Durban, South Africa for the first time, World Routes 2015 attracted attendees from the global aviation and tourism industry, as they discussed air services and harnessed new business opportunities. Baiyun Airport’s 100 sqm stand featured a curved façade decked in its signature dark green and white. The stand’s open structure created ample amount of space within. Delicately balancing two independent elements – modernity meets orientalism, the design team worked to reflect Guangzhou’s growth while keeping its traditional Chinese culture intact.

QATAR MOTOR SHOW 2015

Hosted at the Qatar National Convention Centre from 6 – 10 February, the 5th edition of the Qatar Motor Show brought together leading marques and car accessory companies exhibiting the latest in products, technology and auto performance trends. Sporting a sleek mezzanine structure that housed a stellar range of automobiles from Rolls Royce to BMW and MINI, Alfardan Automobiles’ 701 sqm stand appealed to car enthusiasts and manufacturers with its stunning display.

LUYUAN AT 15TH CHINA NORTH INTERNATIONAL CYCLE SHOWCHINA

Held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 – 29 March 2015, the 15th China North International Cycle Show saw the presence of many premium brands of electric vehicles promoting environmental sustainability. Luyuan’s 867 sqm stand embodied the brand’s mission of providing exquisite craftsmanship. Featuring an eco-friendly green and white colour palette, the stand’s graphics highlighted its sponsorship deal with Real Madrid football club and displayed a comprehensive range of electric bikes and accessories.

DBS AT SIBOS 2015 SINGAPORE

Singapore once again played host to the world’s premier financial services event, Swift International Banking Operations Seminar (SIBOS), twelve years after it last hosted the trade show. The annual event attracted 8,200 delegates from all over the world, heralding its success as the largest SIBOS event in Asia Pacific to date. As Asia’s leading financial services group, DBS made its presence felt through a refreshing stand design. The bespoke 144 sqm stand featured a sleek, understated aesthetic paired with a serpentine exoskeleton structure which hovered over the exhibition stand. The floating installation served as a canopy while adding fluidity to the design’s futuristic appeal and breathing life into the formal setting.

ROSELLE MONT CLAIR AT MAISON&OBJET ASIA 2015SINGAPORE

MAISON&OBJET ASIA, the international trade fair for lifestyle fashion and trends showcased over 300 internationally-acclaimed brands at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from 10-13 March. Kingsmen delivered several stands, including Roselle Mont Clair, Ateliers Jean-Baptiste Chapuis and OASIQ Furniture. Drawing inspiration from the launch of the brand’s latest Moroccan-influenced Salaam collection, Kingsmen transformed Roselle Mont Clair’s stand into a Middle Eastern dream. Key highlights include a fabric wall art feature accentuated with cove lighting in a Moroccan pattern that utilises laser-cutting technology – creating a bold visual statement which grabbed the attention of many trade visitors.

KNORR-BREMSE AT URTRAN 2015

CHINA

Held in Beijing from June 16-18, the three-day UrTran 2015 trade show took place at the China International Exhibition Center and focused on urban rail transport and the latest key technologies and industry products. Knorr-Bremse, the world’s leading manufacturer of braking and control systems for commercial vehicles took centre stage with its sleek stand design which was elevated on a platform. Kingsmen was involved in the design & build of the 171 sqm stand which stood out for its simple yet intact design.

OCI MATERIALS AT SEMICON KOREA 2015SOUTH KOREA

Drawing inspiration from its logo, OCI Materials’ striking 72 sqm stand featured a façade of red acrylic cylinders and was divided into three sections – a consultation area, an interactive zone and a product display space. An expert in the manufacturing of specialty gases for semiconductors, LCD and solar cells, OCI Materials adopts only the best and most advanced technologies. In demonstration of its capabilities, augmented reality was employed within the interactive zone to showcase the company’s d iverse networks throughout Asia.

GARANSINDO AT 23RD INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW 2015INDONESIA

The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2015 was held at Jakarta International Expo from 19 – 30 August 2015. The massive event attracted automotive fans as it showcased some of the latest car models from the biggest brands in the business. “The World of Garansindo” was the theme for PT. Garansindo Inter Global as they introduced upcoming models f rom renowned international names such as Chrysler, Jeep and Alfa Romeo. Easily the largest stand in the exhibition, visitors were able to navigate freely and have a hand in exploring the impressive line-up of cars on display.

VOLKSWAGEN AT SEOUL MOTOR

SHOW SOUTH KOREA

Featuring a striking 2,300 sqm stand, Volkswagen unveiled its Design Vision GTI concept for the first time in Asia at the 11th Seoul Motor Show in Goyang, Korea. Embracing the brand’s slogan ‘Das Auto’, the design team showcased the essence of Volkswagen in a subtle yet effective way, infusing the brand’s message - reliable, economical & partnership, into the stand’s architecture. The fluid curvatures of the ceiling dynamically framed the different sections of the stand and effortlessly guided visitors through the exhibit.

BOOK EXPO AMERICA 2015

USA

The China pavilion was the highlight at 2015 Book Expo America’s Global Market Forum, the largest publishing event in North America. Occupying an area over 2,700 sqm, the China pavilion showcased an impressive collection of Chinese publications. Staying true to Chinese cultural icons, the pavilion was adorned with classic elements such as bamboo motifs, seal carvings and calligraphy accents.

DE RIGO AT BEIJING OPTICS FAIR 2015CHINA

A leader in the design, production and distribution of luxury eyewear, De Rigo participated in the Beijing Optics Fair showcasing its products in a vintage setting. Using wood as a key design element and employing the use of distinctive lighting effects, the 300 sqm exhibition space featured a sleek layout which exhibited the unique identities of the six brands distributed by De Rigo such as Chopard, Police, and Furla amongst others.

GOOD MORNING WITH MACC AT 16TH TAIPEI INTERNATIONAL CHAIN AND FRANCHISE SPRING EXHIBITIONTAIWAN

This year, more than 21,000 franchise deals were signed at the 16th Taipei International Chain and Franchise Spring Exhibition (TICFE) held at the Taipei World Trade Centre from 12 – 15 March. A distinctive contrast from its traditional store exterior, Taiwanese breakfast chain – Good Morning with MACC’s 162 sqm stand resembled a pair of wings bringing dreams to live.

ARTISTRY AT BUSAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2015SOUTH KOREA

ARTISTRY, a leading global prestige brand in cosmetics and skincare created a temporary exhibit at the Busan International Film Festival 2015, Asia’s largest and internationally acclaimed film festival. The exhibit showcased the brand’s premium products which were displayed against a contrasting colour canvas of black and gold. The luxurious interior was visually extended as full length mirror panels lined the walls while visitors explored the exhibit. As visitors tried out the products on display, they were in for a visual treat as ARTISTRY made creative use of kinetic art to engage them.

WE: DEFINING STORIESSOUTH KOREA

Housed within a red shipping container in South Korea’s Seoul Financial Centre, We: Defining Stories commemorated Singapore’s 50th year of independence and celebrated 40 years of diplomatic relations with the country. Succinctly capturing significant milestones in the two countries’ intertwined histories, the exhibition ran from 23 July – 2 August 2015. We: Defining Stories featured a well-curated collection of photographs and video clips from the National Archives of Singapore and Korea, Singapore Press Holdings, National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Philatelic Museum and the Singapore National Heritage Board.

TFWA ASIA PACIFIC EXHIBITION &

CONFERENCE 2015 SINGAPORE

Tax Free World Association’s Asia Pacific Exhibition was held in Singapore from 10 – 14 May and Kingsmen was once again the official contractor of the leading regional exhibition for the Travel Retail and Duty Free industry. Kingsmen produced over 90 custom-design stands, including a modern minimalist stand for Philip Morris. The stand exuded sophistication without comprising functionality, including design elements such as an organically-shaped ceiling. Curved white panels with red highlights added another dimension to the otherwise simple design, creating an inviting space for visitors.

DOW CHEMICAL PACIFIC (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD AT CHINAPLAS 2015CHINA

Held in Guangzhou, China, Dow Chemical Pacific (Singapore) Pte Ltd’s 315 sqm exhibition stand at Chinaplas 2015, was a great representation of its innovative solutions. The expansive double-deck stand employed a layered approach for its spatial design. It’s products were accompanied with touch-screen monitors and video storytelling to generate awareness amongst visitors. From floor to ceiling, the stand told the story of Dow’s comprehensive packaging solutions for the food supply chain through the effective use of space.

GASTECH 2015 SINGAPORE

Gastech Conference & Exhibition is a major event for the global gas and energy industry that connects the world’s leading energy companies and industry professionals. Held in Singapore for the first time, the four-day event attracted over 20,000 attendees. As the official contractor of the show, Kingsmen was responsible for the extensive rigging works and ensured that safety regulations were strictly adhered to. The 50,000 sqm exhibition space housed over 400 exhibition stands which occupied five halls at the Singapore Expo. Kingsmen delivered 44 custom-designed stands for major industry players such as Brunei Darussalam Pavilion, Nigeria LNG Limited, Pentair, Perupetro, Trelleborg, WorleyParsons and Yokogawa.

Working closely with SeAH Steel Corp, Kingsmen designed a striking 132 sqm stand that featured a massive steel-like pipe structure suspended from the ceiling. The design team also incorporated large sweeping panels to create the effect of a continuous open space.

redefining exhibitionsBNP PARIBAS WTA FINALS SINGAPORE 2015 PRESENTED BY SC GLOBAL SINGAPORE

The BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global returned for its second edition in 2015 with an enhanced cast. Notable changes included an extension of the competition period from seven to eight days along with a new round robin format for the doubles matches, making the event even more thrilling for fans. Kingsmen reprised its role as an official sponsor and partner in sporting hospitality, paying the utmost attention to the design of the exclusive Racquet Club, Fan Zone, media centre and players’ lounge. The corporate hospitality suites housed within the purpose-built Racquet Club provided a world class experience for clients and WTA Finals players and served as the perfect backdrop for entertainment and networking.

FIA FORMULA E CHAMPIONSHIP

MALAYSIA

The second season of the FIA Formula-e championship was held in Putrajaya, Malaysia on 7 November 2015. The world’s first fully-electric racing series will make its appearance in 10 of the world’s leading cities – including Beijing, London and Paris from 2015-2016. Kingsmen supplied and installed 3,000 grandstand seats; a three-storey pit building spanning over 4,000 sqm; linkway bridges connecting the entire event space; and various tentage around the circuit as part of a multi-year contract.

28TH SEA GAMES 2015

SINGAPORE

Kingsmen was proud to be an official sponsor for the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games which was hosted by Singapore from 5 – 16 June. With a sponsorship valued at S$3.1 million, Kingsmen supported the Singapore Southeast Asian Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC) by drafting plans for overlay works, preparing detailed specifications, and conducting site inspections for the Games’ competition and training venues. The sponsorship also included advertising spots on its LED screens at PoMo, Wilkie Edge and *SCAPE to promote the Games. Besides offering design and fit-out services for more than 10 competition and training venues, Kingsmen also built the spectacular 19.2-metre tall Games cauldron, designed by DP Architects, at Singapore Sports Hub.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SINGAPORE –

SINGAPORE: THE PAST 100 YEARS GALLERIES

SINGAPORE

In celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, the National Museum of Singapore launched its new permanent galleries in September 2015 after a year-long revamp. The galleries, which comprise the Singapore History Gallery, Life in Singapore: The Past 100 Years galleries and the Goh Seng Choo Gallery were refreshed with updated stories and content about Singapore’s history, capturing the nation’s defining moments, challenges and achievements; providing snapshots of everyday life across different eras.

The museum also created a more immersive experience by employing contextual displays, ambient sounds, multimedia and interactive platforms which even include olfactory cues. Going beyond simply presenting history in a chronological manner, the galleries adopted a narrative approach that leaves visitors reminiscing about yesteryear.

The National Museum envisions that the new galleries will trigger fond memories of the past and inspire visitors to discover more about the country’s history and reconnect with the Singapore story.

AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N.SOUTH KOREA

Modelled after a similar display at New York’s Times Square, Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A .T. I .O .N . a t War Memorial of Korea in Seoul is an immersive experience, bringing visitors into the world of The Avengers. Kicking off its global tour in Korea, Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T. I .O.N. invites visitors to experience a simulated recruitment; as if they were being trained as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Visitors can look forward to receiving a personalised ID card, gaining access to the briefing room, Hulk’s laboratory, Iron Man’s research institute, Thor’s Space Tower and more. Each unique space incorporates interactive components that offer insights into the characters and props from the movie.

BIHAR MUSEUM INDIA

Located in the state of Bihar in east India, the much-anticipated Bihar Museum opened in late-2015 to the excitement of both local and international audiences. The 13.5 acre museum is one of the largest state-of-the-art museums in India. It chronologically illustrates the evolution of history and culture in the eastern state. Not forgetting young minds, a large children’s section engages children through interactive storytelling and multimedia exhibits, bringing history to life for them. Kingsmen was involved in the fit-out and fabrication of two of the six galleries currently opened to the public, namely its children and orientation galleries.

LEE KONG CHIAN NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUMSINGAPORE

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) opened its doors to the public in early-2015 and gave eager visitors a glimpse of its collection. The museum is Singapore’s first and only permanent natural history exhibition, which is dedicated to showcasing Southeast Asian biodiversity. Spanning over 2,200 sqm, Kingsmen was involved in the fit-out and fabrication of the exhibition gallery which houses three large and almost complete fossils of sauropod dinosaurs, and 2,000 other exhibits ranging from giant crabs to birds from Christmas Island in 15 zones. One of the star attractions is the dinosaur light show – featuring dynamic and dramatic lighting, and customised sound effects – making a visit to the museum an unforgettable experience.

DHL ASIA PACIFIC INNOVATION CENTRESINGAPORE

DHL launched its Asia Pacific Innovation Centre (APIC) in Singapore, the first innovation centre outside Germany. Located at Tampines LogisPark, the centre is dedicated to driving innovation which will transform logistics operations worldwide. Designed to replicate stacked boxes, the eye-catching centrepiece is a display integrating 12 pieces of 46” seamless screens on a raised circular segmented stainless steel platform. In full synchronisation with the suspended curved light boxes and mechanical robots, the installation comes to life with sight, sound and movement to create an engaging experience for visitors.

CITY, OUR STORIESHONG KONG

As part of HSBC’s 150th anniversary celebration, the company collaborated with the Hong Kong Maritime Museum to launch Made in Hong Kong: Our City, Our Stories. The 372 sqm mixed media exhibition showcased Hong Kong’s rich culture and celebrated its robust history. Featuring a series of highly captivating and interactive galleries that harness the latest technology and multimedia platforms, the exhibition took visitors on a unique journey through the city’s history – bringing together interviews, photographs, film and music from voices across generations.

NATIONAL MUSEUM SINGAPORE – GOH SENG CHOO GALLERY: DESIRE AND DANGERSINGAPORE

Desire and Danger, an exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore, offers a glimpse into the complex and at times uneasy relationship between Man and Nature. Inspired by a “cabinet of curiosities” approach for the presentation, the exhibition features a selection of drawings from the William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings, accompanied with actual specimens of their subjects. To create a more authentic and immersive visitor experience, interactive elements such as scent stations were placed within the exhibition. As part of the term designer contract, Kingsmen was also involved in the design of other exhibitions within the museum which include: Leading Ladies: Women Making a Difference and Battle for Singapore: Case Files from the Singapore War Crimes Tribunal.

GRÉVIN SEOULSOUTH KOREA

Grévin Seoul marks the French entertainment brand’s first Asian museum which houses wax sculptures of famous Asian and international figures. The four-storey building encompasses 14 themed zones from a “beauty salon” to “geniuses of the century”, and eight interactive rooms where visitors can participate in activities such as motor racing and Russian roulette. Rounding off the tour, visitors will get to go behind the scenes and witness the procedures involved in the production of wax-figures and experience the process of making their own figures through a 3D scanning at the Discovery Atelier.

BMW Expe r i ence Days was conceptualised as an experiential drive event for invited guests to exclusively enjoy the full range of BMW cars. Held over 5 days in Singapore’s iconic Gardens by the Bay, guests were given the rare opportunity to experience various drives ranging from a 2-wheel climb with the BMW X range and ABS emergency braking for the BMW M models, to slalom exercises for the BMW i3. Each activity was designed to showcase the handling and performance of the cars.The event was a huge hit with BMW’s clients, with one of their guests, Ms Aarthi Anandan, remarking: “It’s an absolutely fabulous event in a fantastic location and it was very well-planned. But the real highlight was the cars and it was a great pleasure trying out these amazing cars!”

CASIO MEET & GREET WITH DANIEL RICCARDO

SINGAPORE

Japan watch manufacturer Casio, organised an exclusive meet and greet with Red Bull Racing Team’s Daniel Ricciardo for the launch of the Casio Edifice watch. Held at the swanky Marina Bay Sands, the event gave fans the chance to experience the contemporary features of the Edifice watch while getting up-close and personal with the F1 driver. To showcase the watch’s ability for smartphone connectivity, participants, including Daniel Ricciardo himself, competed in a timepiece challenge which required them to swiftly change the time zone on the Edifice watch using only a smartphone. The event further highlights the partnership between Edifice and Infiniti Red Bull Racing to deliver world class precision and speed.

BMW PHOTO CUPSINGAPORE

The partnership between two internationally renowned German brands – BMW & Leica, resulted in an unforgettable photo shoot session for a privileged few. The 2015 BMW Photo Cup with Leica gave budding photographers the opportunity of a lifetime to learn the tricks of the trade from acclaimed LEICA Camera Academy instructor Mathias Heng. Participants were able to shoot BMW cars against spectacular backdrops within a tight security facility which would not usually have been accessible to the public. Working closely with BMW, Kingsmen highlighted the brand’s ability to create unique lifestyle experiences with other luxury brands.

CLARINS NEW UV PLUS ANTI-POLLUTION

SPF50/PA++++ ASIA PACIFIC LAUNCH 2015

SINGAPORE

Clarins unveiled its latest beauty product in Singapore – the New UV PLUS Anti-Pollution SPF 50/PA++++, the perfect city defence for the modern woman. In bringing the cityscape to the venue, structural panels were designed to mirror office buildings and were arranged in clusters, resembling land parcels. Divided into three zones: UV Effects – employing the use of an ultraviolet camera to show the unseen effects of UV rays on the skin, Plant Science – showcasing a terrarium making experience, and the Testing Area with brand ambassadors available on hand to assist guests in trying out the product.

LAUNCH OF THE ALL-NEW BMW 7

Located in the heart of Singapore, with Marina Bay Sands as a backdrop, the ICONIC 7 was specially built to unveil the most innovative car in its class – the all-new BMW 7 Series. Invited guests were taken on a journey to learn more about the car’s innovations, as well as luxurious touches ranging from leather to paint and trims, followed by a scenic test drive in the city. One of the highlights was the Surround View demonstration, where the windscreen was covered for guests to try out how easy it is to manoeuvre and park the BMW 7 Series. All guests were in awe of the unconventional event venue and the BMW 7 Series’ outstanding qualities.
