Thiscourseisdesignedforforeignregisterednurseswhowould like to work* as a registered nurse in New Zealandoroverseas(e.g.Australia,USA,UnitedKingdom).

PrimarilythecourseisanintensiveIELTSandOccuptationalEnglishTest(OET)coursedesignedtoassistforeignnursestomeettheNewZealandNursingCouncil’sEnglishlanguagerequirementsforregistration.(7.0inallskillareas;speaking,listening,writingandreadingforIELTSoraBbandinallskillareasforOET)

• Thecoursealsoprovidesforeignnurseswithanorientationto the New Zealand Healthcare system.

•Thereisanopportunitytogainparttimeworkofupto20hoursperweekasaHealthcareAssistantwhiletheyarestudying.

• The final stage is to enter a competency assessmentprogramme(CAP)whichhastoberunbyaregisteredprovider(usually a Polytechnic). This eight week non exam coursecompletes the New Zealand nursing registration training.
