❖ Cambodia is willing to accede to the international treaties. However, Cambodia will use the transitional period given to LDCs by TRIPS Council to build institutional capacity, human resources, and preparation of technical regulations.

• The ministry of Culture and Fine Arts is responsible for overseeing of Copyright and Related Rights issues

• National Policy for Culture, Approved by the Council of Minister at the Plenary Meeting on July 18, 2014

On February 12, 2002 the Inter-Ministerial debate on this draft was successfully completed and have adopted by National Assembly on January 21, 2003.

The Department of Copyright and Related Rights was established in 2007.

1. The purpose of Cambodian Copyright Acts The purpose of this law is, by providing for the rights of author, and the right related rights thereon with respect to works and protection of cultural products in order secure a just and legitimate exploitation on those cultural products, and thereby contribute to development of culture and to stipulate of creative economy.

2. The Collecting SocietiesThe Proclamation on Establishment of CMOs have been issued on July 05, 2016
