DeclarativeInterrogativeImperativeExclamatory
DECLARATIVE
A declarative sentence tells something.It ends in a period
Example: The temperature is warm
INTERROGATIVE
Interrogative sentences ask something.It ends in a question mark
Example: Is it warm?
IMPERATIVE
An imperative sentence gives an order or makes a request.This type of sentence ends in a period
Example: Please find out how warm it is.Find out how warm it is.
EXCLAMATORY
An exclamatory sentence shows strong feelingThis type of sentence ends with an exclamation mark.
Example:It is Hot!
