Open Night!
Tuesday May 21st
The school will be open for tours between 2.30 and 3.30pm in the afternoon.
5.30pm – free community bbq in the assembly hall.
6-7pm Bed Time Stories – come dressed in your jim-jams, slippers and have your favourite teddy bear tucked under your
arm (little kids and ‘big kids’ included) as you choose which of your favourite stories you would like to listen to in one of
our specially themed classrooms.
Election Day
Kent Park PS has been nominated as a dedicated voting centre for the upcoming Federal election this Saturday May 18.
Make sure you allow enough time to grab something from the bbq on your way past or get in contact with the PA if you can
spare an hour to help.
NAPLAN
So far this week our grade 3 and 5 teams have been doing a great job tackling the challenge of sitting the Naplan testing.
Students absent during the testing period are able to complete some components of the tests if they return within a set time
period. The final test in Numeracy is scheduled to be completed next Monday.
School Production
Our talented cast have started rehearsing the script, awesome new dance moves (including the Juicy Wiggle) are being
practiced, costumes, props and tickets are all being prepared.
Due to the increasing interest in tickets, we are planning to include a matinee performance during the afternoon to make
sure everyone in our community has an opportunity to come along and enjoy the show.
Participation in the Stomp dance sessions are a compulsory component of our Performing Arts program for this semester
and we have extended the payment deadline to next week. We knew once the dance sessions had begun that all of our
students would enjoy the program and begin to look forward to performing on the stage. Any students unable to attend the
concert will still participate in the lessons and our instructors will make adjustments to the sessions to minimise the impact on
the final program.

International Students
KPPS is an accredited International School and we have recently accepted applications for 12 short-term International
Students to come to Kent Park for the first 4 weeks of term 3. The students visiting will be spread mostly across our grade
3-6 classes with no more than 2 per grade. We also have an application for a Prep student to visit our school. We are very
excited about the future possibilities for our students as we trial our International Student Program at KPPS.
