WHY THE STIFF COMPETITION?
“Some of this year's graduates may very well
compete with some of last year's graduates for
positions. They will also be competing with
other young people, who received their
diplomas within the last five years, had jobs,
and found themselves back in the labor pool
once the recession hit,”
(John Challenger, reporter for The Record.)
“It’s the age of globalization, if
you can get anything on your
resume, that’s a positive.”
-Steven
Wisensale“The practical benefits are
really good. Also it looks really
good on your resume,” -Ashley Marchena
The upside is that
The National Association of Colleges and Employers conducted a survey to predict next year’s job market. Many of the employers surveyed said in 2011 they intend to hire as many as 13.5 percent more college graduates than in 2010.
