Killarney Neighbourhood Renewal

The program:

+ Renews and rebuilds roads, sidewalks and street lights in mature neighbourhoods

+ Neighbourhood Renewal is delivered in coordination with other City departments and projects in the area

+ Through coordination we can also improve other elements including intersection safety, pedestrian and bike connections, and park and City-owned green spaces

Infrastructure upgrades:

+ Regrading and paving of local and collector roads*

+ Replacing sidewalks**

+ Replacing street lights

+ Construct new sidewalks, where missing

What’s includedOther potential elements:

+ Implementing connections that help people move (walk, bike, drive)

+ Making improvements to City-owned green spaces (trees, furniture, beautification)

+ Mitigating neighbourhood traffic issues

+ Upgrading to decorative street lights***Necessary utility work is coordinated prior to renewal construction
