Co-operation forms the basis of effective relationship building so lessons are structured in such a way that students need each other to complete tasks. Students learn the teamwork skills needed to work together. A culture of co-operation is formally established and a wide variety of methodologies have been developed that empower students of all abilities and learning styles. Date: Wednesday 11th February 2015 Time: 7.00 - 9.00pm Venue: Kilkenny Education Centre Tutor: Dee Hennessy This course aims to provide the knowledge and skills to help teachers create a positive, happy and stress-free school and classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning and effectively deal with and reduce instances of bullying and confrontation. This course also aims to use meditation skills to resolve disputes and manage conflict effectively and harness the natural and innate capacity to become more effective as a teacher. Young Economist of the Year Kilkenny Education Centre AGM

A project in collaboration between Kilkenny Education Centre and The National Museum of Ireland. The Handling Box contains replica artefacts of Iron and Stone Age materials. It is a useful mechanism for students to actually handle spear heads, flint, cloth etc.
