Little dynamite missionaries are on their way! The third and last ses-sion of the 18th International Kids’ Village (IKV), “MissionAccomplished” was a kiddie dose ofEvangelii Gaudium. Through a short skit, which featured KFC ate and kuyas Sar-

It was a selfie/groupies lesson for some 2,736 delegates of the 18th International Kids’ Village on May 3, the last day of the event. Rev. Paul Patrick Alipao, who gave the closing IKV Mass homily at the SanAgustin University gym, Iloilo City, asked kids to remember that they are made in the “image and likeness of God” whenever they take a selfie or groupie. He even asked them to use the hashtags #IloveJC, #KidsForChrist, and #JCLivesInMe whenever they post their pictures on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Here are some of the unforgettablemessages from Rev. Paul:

- Selfies and groupies will only be meaningfulif it will lead us to see ourselves as image and likeness of God. We are the faces of God, which makes us children of God.

- Jesus is telling us that He is the vine and we are the branches...It means that we are connected to Him. This connectionis more than our connection on Facebook,on Twitter or Instagram. Even without wifi,we are connected to Jesus.

- Always make this a habit to see the face of Jesus in every person that you meet – in your mother, father, even in your yaya, grandfather, grandmother, even with your enemies.

- Remember who you are. As we seeourselves in our selfies and look at ourselves in the mirror, we try to see that we are also the reflections of Jesus.
