Take Away, Order your Take Away at the March Hare, sit in comfort and enjoy your meal with your drinks from the bar. Local take away menus available. We supply cutlery, hot plates and clear away after you have finished your meal. After your meal enjoy a freshly brewed cafetiere of fair trade, Arabica, slow roasted ground coffee and mints. Bring Your Own Buffet, At the March Hare we are able to provide a choice of reasonably priced buffets but you may prefer to bring your own cold food buffet. 1.5.18, Tuesday, Dunton Folk at the March Hare starts at 8.00 pm. Folk and acoustic music in a session format. All are welcome either to join in or simply listen.

10.5.18, Thursday, Letchworth Morris Men are performing their traditional dances at the March Hare pub from 8.00 pm, with music in the pub after the dancing. Not to be missed! 13.5.18 Sunday, quiz, commencing at 7.30 pm, at the March Hare is about answering the questions and having a good time with friends and so form a team of 2 – 6 players. Test your wits against Dunton’s best quiz mistress! The rounds vary each time and are lovingly created by Janice who points out that it’s a light hearted quiz, but not for the faint hearted. 14.5.18 Monday, Hare Beer Bunch Meeting, new members welcome, 8.00 pm. 21.5.18, Monday, Games Monday, from 8.00 pm. Traditionally pubs were places to relax and spend leisure time of which playing games was a regular element. At the March Hare we cannot offer you a private room to play chess or backgammon but we can offer you a social atmosphere where you can play a casual game of chess or backgammon for fun rather than glory where people of all levels can turn up to play. Bring your lucky chess or backgammon set with you! Any suggestions regarding board games are welcome. 21.5.18, Monday, Dunton’s Big Weekender 2018. Dunton’s Big Weekender, Bringing the Dunton Community closer together, A meeting will be held in the pub at 8.00 pm to discuss the village show which will be an extended weekend and the dates are Thursday 15.6.17 to Sunday 18.6.17 In the main the show is an event to support village charities and organisations. If you are interested in joining us to develop the village show, do come and join us. 23.5.18, Wednesday, Bedford Morris Men are performing their traditional dances at the March Hare pub from 7.45 pm. 26.5.18, Saturday, Dunton Folk at St Mary Magdalene Church, 7.30 pm onwards, Brooks Williams hails from Statesboro, Georgia, the town made famous by country-blues legend Blind Willie McTell. Williams got his start in the clubs and bars around Boston, playing 5-6 nights a week, he developed

his signature sound. He’s a mean finger-picker and a stunning slide guitarist, and is ranked in the Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists, Plus, “he has a beautiful voice,” says AmericanaUK, “that you just melt into.” In fact, in 2013 Williams was nominated “best male vocalist” by the UK’s foremost roots-music mavens, Spiral Earth. His massive repertoire reads like a roots music Hall Of Fame. From classic Bessie Smith or Memphis Slim blues to compelling Dave Alvin and Buddy Miller Americana covers. “On top of all this,” writes American Roots UK, “is his song writing, which stands comparison with virtually any of his peers.” Rooted in tradition, wryly observed and relevant. Of course, the March Hare outside bar will be there for your sustenance. 27.5.18 Sunday, Spring Bank Holiday Quiz night, This is the second competition quiz for 2018, commencing at 7.30 pm. Teams of up to 6 may play. £3.00 per team member. 29.5.18, Tuesday, Today is King Charles 11’s birthday, also known as Oak Apple Day. Apparently it is traditional to drink beer on oak apple day, so let’s raise our glasses to good old King Charles II.

At the March Hare, you can now try Shipyard American Pale Ale (4.5%), which is fruity with a citrus hop aroma and flavour. It has been dry hopped with 4 American hops Chinook, Cascade, Centennial and Columbus. This summer drop anchor at the March and taste Shipyard American Pale Ale. £4.40 per pint.
