Kickin’ Achievement: Oscar Bags Man of the Match! Oscar Hancock, 4, recently competed in his first ever sparring competition. A big enough feat, not only did he medal, he was crowned Man of the Match by Olympian Jade Jones. Oscar began training with Horizon Taekwondo Academy, Silesden, roughly 8 months ago and loves training with his friends - and learning some Korean! Taekwondo has been infectious for the Hancock family. Shortly after our Man of the Match met Jade Jones, both his sisters, aged 2 and 6, took up taekwondo, along with his mum Sarah, who has just began attending KickSister classes. "My kids love the training, Natalie is amazing with the children and I've even started training myself.” Says Sarah Hancock. I'm really enjoying it, Horizon are almost a second family. Oscar now trains 4 times a week - I'm so proud of him!" A big congratulations to Oscar - and we’re so pleased to hear that the Hancock family have caught the taekwondo bug! Keep it up guys.
