Time slows perceptively as you travel beneath ancient live oak trees draped with Spanish moss to Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The ceaseless rhythm of ocean tides, the unbroken arcs of the sun and moon, and the perpetual dance of ocean breezes become more significant than minutes and hours. An emerald gem fringed with white beach sand and acres of swaying marsh grass, Kiawah Island seems to float between quiet river waters and the ocean’s gentle surf. Across the estuary and through the entrance, you enter a world apart from ordinary care. Glimpses of manicured fairways and greens appear as the road winds through a serene maritime forest that shelters wildlife as well as luxurious resort amenities. One final turn, and you arrive at your destination, The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
