The park will develop in two phases — the first phase is designed to be in place for the period of the construction of the Metro, Shopping Center, Hotel, Contemporary Art Center, etc. adjacent. the inhabitants of the area will be able to enjoy a piece of wild nature in the middle of the huge construction site. The first phase will take place at the western section of the park, which will be free from the construction activities.

The inclusions of the new planting will be in-trocuded, in strictly geometrical forms creating a contrast with the existing wild vegetation. The planted shapes will create as sense of rational presence and will highlight the disorganized existing surrounding.

A number of contrasting objects will be intro-duced to create attractive and visible points to encourage people to step inside the park, as

opposed to staying at the perimeter. In the eve-ning, the objects will be lit up allowing to better orientate oneself, and have more security.

With the construction of the Metro station, Shopping center and Cultural center, the park will be used not only for walking around but also for reaching a destination as quickly as possible. It will then enter its second phase of development.

The ring of earth ramparts, or VAL, will allow easy segregation of those commuting from rec-reational users of the park. When going out the southern metro exit people will arrive directly on a higher level and be able to overlook the whole park and identify the way to their desti-nation point. To walk home to one of the build-ings, they will choose a quick way by the top of the hill. The path will be "fenced" with a row of

rye so that standing in the lower part of the park one will see the rampart with a sharp line of rye, a new contrasting layer in the landscape.

If one is not going anywhere in particular, she will be able to leave the higher level and walk around the lower park. When going out the northern exit, one will have a choice of either wandering through the smaller paths of the park, or go by the wide road - reminiscent of the airfield runway - to reach Cultural center, Shopping mall, or the housing at the other end of the park.

The passages underneath the VAL will allow to quickly cross the park in the South-North direction and reach the Shopping Center and the Contemporary Art Museum.
