VLT® 12-Pulse DrivesA robust and cost effective harmonic solutionfor the higher power range. The DanfossVLT® 12-pulse drive offers reducedharmonics for demanding industryapplications above 250 kW. The VLT® 12-pulse is a high efficiency variable frequencyconverter which is built to the same modulardesign as the popular 6-pulse VLT® drives.
VLT® Advanced Active FilterAAF 006A flexible and adaptable solution for centralor decentral harmonic mitigation. DanfossAdvanced Active Filters can compensate forindividual VLT® drives as a compactintegrated solution or can be installed as acompact stand-alone solution at a point ofcommon coupling, compensating for multipleloads simultaneously. Danfoss Active Filterscan operate at medium voltage level bymeans of a step-down transformer.
VLT® Advanced HarmonicFilter AHF 005/010The Danfoss Advanced Harmonic Filtershave been specially designed to match theDanfoss frequency converters. The solutionis available in two variants, AHF 005 andAHF 010, connected in front of a Danfossfrequency converter, the harmonic currentdistortion generated back to the mains isreduced to 5% and 10% Total HarmonicCurrent Distortion at full load.
VLT® Common Mode FiltersCommon mode filters are placed betweenthe frequency converter and the motor. Theyare nano-crystalline cores that mitigate highfrequency noise in the motor cable (shieldedor unshielded) and reduce bearing currentsin the motor.
VLT® Sine-Wave FiltersSine-wave filters are placed between thefrequency converter and the motor. Theyare low-pass filters that suppress theswitching frequency component from thefrequency converter and smooth out thephase-to-phase output voltage of thefrequency converter to make it sinusoidal.This reduces the motor insulation stress,bearing currents and eliminates the switchingacoustic noise from the motor.
VLT® dU/dt Filtersdu/dt filters are placed between the frequencyconverter reduce motor terminal phase-to-phase peak voltage spikes and reduce therise time to a level that lowers the stress onthe insulation of motor windings. du/dt/ filtersare smaller, weigh less and have a lowerprice compared to sine-wave filters.

VLT® MCT 31 HarmonicsCalculation SoftwareWith VLT® MCT 31, you can determinewhether harmonics will be an issue in yourinstallation when drives are added.
