In maths, we have been investigating lengths bycomparing 3 or more lengths. They used unifix cubesto make various lengths to compare them byaligning ends, identifying and explaining usingmathematical language.

Year 4 have learnt about the love tokens convictsgave their families before leaving Britain. 4D createdlove tokens for their loved ones using card paper, foiland pencils to engrave. Some students even wrotemessages in Arabic.

5J have developed their own theory to determine ifgraphs are traversable. We tested our theory on theage-old 'Seven Bridges of Konigsberg' problem andfound that it was impossible to visit all the parts oftown by crossing each bridge only once. We foundout that the famous Leonhard Euler also came to thesame conclusion in 1736!

To finish off narratives, 5S spent time in the librarypublishing their work and practising computer skills.STEM projects were also tested and now 5S willadjust their projects, hoping to improve their results.

Last week, year 6 enjoyed their first ever schoolcamp. New friendships were formed and fears wereconquered as we enjoyed the many activities wewere challenged with at the Collaroy Center.

Camp - what an experience! No challenge (or height)was too great for brave 6B. Everyone pushedthemselves past their comfort zone and excelled.Even the night games showed the vigorous drive andfocus which our students possess.
