Paddler Registration - CT

• Paddler Registration – Opens @ 6:00– Paper check in – Get waiver form and boxed breakfast– Get “bus ticket” (confirm they are checked in)– Direct to Buses

• ALL BUSES DEPART 7:00 AM – Bus monitor collects “bus ticket”– Bus monitor confirms bus is full– Buses depart as they get full– Bus monitor makes announcements during ride

• Paddler registers in Long Island – 7:30 – 8:30 AM– Paddler hands in their waiver form– Give paddler an ankle band– Paddler instructed to walk over pad

Incase Of Emergency• Bad Weather / Squall

– Listen to VHF for instructions– Pick up paddlers – Leave kayaks– Head to closest shore

• Avoid other boats / Run Interference• Jet Skis / Rapid Intervention• Accident or Injury Procedure

– Hail on VHF– Transport Via USCG or Local Marine Police

• We go if we deem it safe to go• Weather changes quickly• Assemble pod, check in, and raft up• Await pod leader’s/chase leader’s instructions

Registration Procedures- Finish

• Paddler kayaks to Connecticut – 9:00 AM• Paddler returns to Connecticut – 1:30 –

3:30 PM – Walks over pad with ankle band– Returns ankle band– Paddler gets a GREEN/LOBSTER wristband – must

be put on immediately – Paddler also receives a 2nd GREEN/LOBSTER

wristband (for guest) and 21+ wristband if applicable – all information should be checked off on paper registration list.

Paddler RAR- Finish in CT

• Collect basket lunch, tshirt, etc. • Return kayak to truck (KFAC) or your

car (Own boat)• Shower (depends on personal

hygiene)• Relax, Party, Bathe in Glory 2-10pm
