PPT Chili supper Thursday News Briefs 4-H, FFA Pork Chop Supper Saturday The annual Perry 4-H and FFA Livestock Booster Club annual pork chop supper and auction. The event will be held in the Perry Lower Elementary School gym. Supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6 p.m. All buyers from that event will have their name placed in a drawing for a free pro- cessed whole hog. The drawing will be at the end of the event’s auction. All proceeds from the supper and the auction goes to benefit the 4-H and FFA members and is divid- ed equally among them for projects, animals, feed, entries frees to shows, etc. The public is extended an invitation to attend. Tickets to he pork chop supper are available for $5 from any 4-H or FFA member and at the door. There will be no carry outs. Perry FFA Blue and Gold sale Nicky Woodrell, Perry High School Agricultural Education instructor, said Perry FFA members are continuing to sell Blue and Gold meat products. “We will have supplies until they are sold out,” said Woodrell. “We have extra chicken, bacon, and sau- sage.” To purchase the products, one may contact any FFA member or call or stop by the ag building usually anytime from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The office phone number is 336-3042. Benefit luncheon for Doreen Stewart A beans and corn bread luncheon to benefit Doreen Stewart will be co-sponsored by Thrivant Financial for Lutherans and her fellow employees at First Bank & Trust. Proceeds will go toward the mounting medical expenses of Ms. Stewart. The meal will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Christ Lutheran Learning Center. Menu will be beans, corn bread, cole slaw, dessert and a beverage for $6 per person (free will donations will be accepted).
