RAZER FINTECH AND FRANKLIN TEMPLETON DIGITAL WEALTH MANAGEMENT COLLABORATION The partnership will enable both parties to drive innovation in digital wealth management solutions for youth and millennials

Razer Fintech signed a Memorandum of Understanding with one of the world’s largest independent asset managers, Franklin Templeton to create a digital wealth management platform targeted at youths and millennial. The collaboration will also look to improve financial literacy and identify fintech startups for potential partnerships and co-investment opportunities. The new wealth platform will be in an app-based format, complementary to the existing offerings of both parties, and will cater to the needs of their target audience in the various countries both companies operate in. RAZER ANNOUNCES RECORD 1H2020 EARNINGS Razer beats expectations with record high revenue of US$447.5 million and positive adjusted EBITDA of US$3.2 million

Following the announcement of the Razer’s 1H2020 earnings, Min-Liang Tan, Co-founder and CEO of Razer spoke with Yahoo UK on Razer’s growth strategies. Despite the global market uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Razer has had a spectacular start to the year, driven by dominant brand position, user base expansion and stay-at-home trends.

Yahoo UK noted that the Company is now in a “comfortable” position — it’s profitable, despite all the challenges of logistics costs during COVID-19, has zero debt and $500m to play with. Singapore has published a list of 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) with outstanding achievements in the infocomm technology industry for the first time. SENSOR TOWER: TOP MOBILE GAMES BY WORLDWIDE REVENUE FOR AUGUST 2020

The top grossing mobile game worldwide for August 2020 was PUBG Mobile with more than US$221 million in user spending, which represented 25.5% year-on-year growth. Mobile game revenue typically spikes in August, coinciding with the summer holiday period and closure of schools, and two major titles in the top 10 grossers have seen their best month ever for revenue. Fate/Grand Order accumulated a record US$163 million, while Knives Out generated US$79.5 million, also a record.

REUTERS: ESPORTS GIANT INTENDS TO RAISE 20 MILLION POUNDS WITH IPO

The continued rise of economic viability in esports was underscored by a story from Reuters, reporting that Guild Esports (part owned by David Beckham) will be the first to go public in Britain. It is rumored that Guild Esports intends to raise 20 million pounds (US$26 million) by listing around 40% of its shares, giving it a valuation of 50 million pounds. The article also notes that “Online gaming has skyrocketed during global coronavirus lockdowns, which halted live sports events.” and notes that esports globally generated US$951 million in revenues in 2019 and 443 million viewers.
