A Note from the Director Dear Dancers & Parents, What a term we’re into! I am so thrilled with the progress the children (and adults) are making in class. The school is growing, which means more opportunities are on the horizon including our new Performance Company for more serious students as well as expanded adult class offerings with a payperclass option. (More info pg2) We would like to invite you into the studio to see all that we have been working on this term during our final week of classes, the last week of March. We will resume classes with the start of our Summer Term on the 5 th May. Most of our classes will remain the same, although if you would like to transfer into an alternate class, please get in touch. Finally, I’d like to mention our new Blog: www.kewdancearts.blogspot.co.uk. A Note from the Director

Dear  Dancers  &  Parents,    What  a  term  we’re  into!  I  am  so  thrilled  with  the  progress  the  children  (and  adults)  are  making  in  class.  The  school  is  growing,  which  means  more  opportunities  are  on  the  horizon  including  our  new  Performance  Company  for  more  serious  students  as  well  as  expanded  adult  class  offerings  with  a  pay-­‐per-­‐class  option.  (More  info  pg2)

Perhaps  you  danced  as  a  child,  or  maybe  you  are  looking  for  a  new  way  to  get  fit  this  year?  Our  adult  classes  are  a  great  way  to  get  your  body  moving  and  to  have  a  bit  of  fun  learning  new  dance  steps  and  routines.  Join  one  of  our  classes  in  Ballet,  Tap  or  Contemporary.  Classes  available  day  and  evening,  and  now  with  a  pay-­‐per-­‐class  option,  why  not  give  it  a  try?    Further  info  online  at  www.kewdancearts.com

Now  in  our  second  year,  KDA  is  looking  to  start  a  new  Performance  Company  for  students  age  5+.  The  Company  will  perform  at  local  community  events  and  festivals  throughout  the  year.  Also,  Company  Members  will  be  invited  to  participate  in  conventions  and  competitions.  Children  will  be  required  to  audition  for  acceptance  into  the  Performance  Company  as  well  as  be  enrolled  in  one  of  our  weekly  classes  (preferably  ballet/jazz/tap  combination  class)  and  attend  additional  rehearsals  for  performances  (Friday  after  school  and/or  Saturdays).    If  you  think  your  child  might  be  interested  in  joining  the  Performance  Company,  please  email  Christine  for  more  information.

Ages  5-­‐9  (YR  1-­‐4)  Ballet/Jazz/Tap  I  Hip  Hop  Jazz    Ages  8-­‐12  (YR  4-­‐7)  Ballet/Jazz/Tap  II  Hip  Hop  Jazz

Adult Classes  Open  Ballet  This  mixed  ability  class  for  adults  includes  ballet  barre  exercises  as  well  as  centre  combinations  and  is  an  excellent  way  to  improve  core  strength,  balance  and  flexibility.    

Ultimate  Beginners  Tap  In  this  class  for  first-­‐time  tappers,  we  breakdown  all  of  the  steps  and  learn  simple  dance  routines.  

Intermediate  Tap  A  class  for  those  with  a  bit  of  experience,  the  intermediate  tap  moves  a  bit  quickly  with  challenging  footwork  and  intricate  dance  routines.    Contemporary  Contemporary  combines  ballet,  jazz  and  modern  dance  technique  for  a  more  challenging  class  for  those  with  previous  dance  training.      

The CLASS CARD for Adult Classes  Pay  only  for  the  classes  you  attend  by  purchasing  a  Class  Card  for  just  £72.00.  The  Class  Card  allows  you  to  take  up  to  6  classes  anytime,  anywhere  and  is  valid  for  up  to  one  year  from  date  of  purchase.
