KEVIN LEWIS Football Training Camp June 16 th & 18 th , 6PM to 8PM Walker Field, Winter Garden Kevin Lewis is a native of Orlando and a Jones High School graduate. It was Kevin’s strong work ethic in both athletics and academics that helped him receive scholarship offers from top colleges across the nation. Out of these many offers Kevin chose to attend Duke University in Durham, North Carolina where he learned one of the greatest risks to football careers are improper training techniques. Kevin went undrafted after his final season at Duke but not discouraged he solicited a tryout from New York Giants. Once again Kevin relied on his work ethic and perseverance to earn a spot on the team. For six years Kevin played linebacker in the NFL and won numerous awards and also played in Super Bowl XXXV. Kevin has always believed that his faith in God, diligence, and attention to detail made him the player he was. Now retired from the NFL Kevin works with young competitors throughout Central Florida to pass on many of the skills and life lessons he has collected along his journey. In recognition of Kevin’s charitable work with Central Florida youth he was given an honorary key to the City of Orlando ion January 20 th , 2005 which was also declared’ ‘Kevin Lewis Day’. Unlike conditioning practice the focus of the two-day camp will be to enhance the technical skills of the participants. Although conditioning will be emphasized the kids will be taught many valuable lessons about various positions within the sport of football. For any player who wishes to improve their game this is the camp for them. Kids will be broken down by age group and managed accordingly.
