Keukenhof - 2016

Fashion was the theme of the thousands of orchids displayed this year. Breathtaking in

purples, pinks, and white. 800,000 vistors in 8 weeks enjoy it each year. I think most of

them were there that day.

The "Golden Age of Holland" a galleon and

Dutch houses in thousands of bulbs, and

indoor displays incorporating replicas of

the works of the great Dutch masters.

tulips did not originate in

Holland. They were wildflowers

imported from Turkey in the

1500´s and created a wave of

weath equivalent to the

internet boom of the 90´s. The

word "tulip" derives from the

Turkish word for turban.
