Wow what a gathering ofbeautiful Kerries. If you missedthe January Specialty youmissed the event of the year.from the Sweepstakes, TheKerry Specialty, The Luncheon,The Auction and Raffle all theway through the eveningpresentation by Dr. Karine OnclinDVM, PhD on Breeding andReproduction. I want to thank allwho helped and those whobrought there dogs. It was greatto see our friends that we don'tsee on a regular basis.
I think a great time was had byall. The weather was great foranother year although it wasa little nippy a couple days butthe dogs loved it. Again I want tothank all who helped make this
years show a very special one.Remember the next meeting is theelection of officers I hope all canattend. We can also start thinkingabout next year.
Remember to get that specialsomeone, something special forValentine's day.

President Walter Bates calledthe meeting to order at 5:15pm. There were 15 clubmembers present. Walterthanked Club members for theirhard work and contributions tothe Club.
The regular agenda of themeeting was omitted in favor ofconducting only the necessarybusiness of the club.
Nominating Chair Jim Omodioreported that the NominatingCommittee selected thefollowing Slate of Officers for2007:

No nominations were offeredfrom the floor, so nominationswere closed.
Blake Hansen and McKennaVance were presented withtrophies recognizing theirefforts in Junior Showmanshipwith Kerry Blue Terriers. TheClub may sponsor a trophy forTop Junior Handler from ourClub next year.
Conni mentioned that Clubmembers are welcome toparticipate in the Florida StateFair Purebred Dog Exhibit withthe Tampa Bay Terrier Club.

Recently there was an unfortunateincident where a dog severely bithis owner when the owner steppedin to break up a dog fight. The dog
was in a fight mode and justreacted. All of us in the dog fancywith multiple dogs have had toprevent our dogs from facing offwith another dog in our kennel.This can be very dangerious if we
approach it. I am not an expert onthis subject but I know howimportant it is to know what to do inthis type of situation. Being theowners of terriers puts us in amore precarious position than mostdog owners. The one thing younever want to do is pick up a dogthat is being attacked or in theprocess of posturing for a fight.This will surely trigger the fight.

Our specialty this year wasblessed with some beautifulweather. We had a bright andsunny day with temperatures inthe s. We could not haveasked for a better day. The daystarted with our Sweepstakeswhere our judge Mrs. NancyWestbrook selected TNT MajorPlayer Best in Sweeps he isowned by Connie Myers. OurSpecialty had an entry of 31 dogsand our Specialty Judge Mrs.Michele Billings selectedSYMPHONIE'S BLIND DATE Bestof Breed owned by Margery Good& Gale Cayce and was bred byFrance Godbout. LEMERICK'SPASHA was awarded WinnersBitch, Best of Winners and Best ofOpposite Sex, she is owned byKevin Johnson & MichaelWaggener and was bred by KenKaufman and Michael Waggener..Winners Dog was 6 to 9 monthpuppy TNT MAJOR PLAYERowned by Connie Myers and wasbred by Connie L Myers & GenePossidento.
Our hospitality BBQ lunch wasserved by BBQ Chef John Vervilleand was a great hit with everyone.The Auction/Raffle/boutique was alot of fun and our members andfriends enjoyed biding on theunique items. The moneycollected from these activities willhelp us grow our treasury. Ourclub also sponsored a Breedingand Reproduction Seminarpresented by Renown CanineSpecialist Dr. Karine OnclinVerstegen DVM, PhD, DECAR.Nancy Westbrook made all thearrangements for the seminar thatwas attended by our members andother dog people. Since non-clubmembers where charged to attendwe were able to donate $150 to
