This reminds me of a life in Christ and His visibility to the world around us. How do I reflect light, life, clarity, and the love of Christ so that the world around me will be impacted for Him? Obviously, we never get this just right in our lives; but the more we trust Him and lean into His Holy Spirit and learn of His ways, the more influence He has in our lives and thus what we reflect to others. May God bless each of you in your daily walk with Him. The Executive Board for KYCWC met this past weekend at Camp Lyons. We hashed out some of the details of the upcoming state convention and the upcoming year for Christian Women Connection in Kentucky. Here’s what I know and am keenly aware of this morning. We have stretched way out beyond our comfort zone and followed in obedience what we believe to be God’s will and direction for CWC in Kentucky. The state convention this year is very different in several ways. First, we are not working out of a hotel this year but instead the beautiful facility and congregation at Eastland Church of God in Lexington will host the event. Participants will be able to choose their own lodging on Friday evening. Second, we are moving from the worship/speaker format to a full concert and banquet on Friday evening. I ask you to participate this year and let us know what you think about the whole event. Also, and most importantly, I ask that you pray for a real experiential, anointed blessing from the Holy Spirit. I want you to be encouraged and inspired to live and serve our Lord in ways and in power like never before. Please read the remainder of this newsletter and share with others at your church and in your CWC group. Share especially with those who do not receive email. May God bless you as you pray and as you labor. Patsy

Kentucky State Project 2019-2020

Kentucky Christian Women Connection CAMP LYONS IMPROVEMENTS

If you have money for the State Project, please go ahead and turn it in to Peggy Prater. We are researching washers and dryers to recommend to the Four Seasons Board for purchase. The State Executive Board recommends and the Leadership Council and General Assembly of KYCWC approved Camp Lyons (Four Seasons Youth Center) in Olympia, KY as the State Project for 2019-2020. The goal is $5,000.

“We are excited for another busy year ahead of us. Last year at our youth camps alone we had over 20 campers give their life to Christ and some were even baptized at camp. Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) ministry from Morehead State University brought around 70 college students for their fall retreat. God moved and 10 college students made Jesus their personal Savior. Praise the Lord! This camp is a special place but if it is not being used for the glory of God, it’s just dirt and buildings. We want to honor God by being good stewards of what He has blessed us with so that we can reach more souls for Him and continue to build His Kingdom.” Ben Hargis Camp Lyons Director

Mission Kits to Bring to Convention in April

Since our State Project this year is Camp Lyons, our mission kits will go to supporting this camp even further. They have many needs, but a few of those needs are for linens. • Sets of 2 towels, 2 washcloths, and 2 hand towels (suggested colors: tan, light grey, and green) • Sheet Sets – Queen and Full size (2 sets of the same color/pattern to match in a room) • Items to bring for the kitchen/dining/conference building - dish clothes and tea towels Please bring items to the 2020 State Convention (April 17-18). They will

be taken to the camp after the conference for immediate us

ATTENTION HISTORIANS! KYCWC State Convention is getting close, and I am looking forward to seeing a lot of History Books at the convention. We draw inspiration and ideas when we share. Historians, be prepared to tell us about a favorite project that is documented in your History Book. We will compile these into a special video highlighting your projects/stories to show on Saturday morning during the convention. Your position as Historian is a very important one. We want you to know that you are valued and appreciated for your hard work. You tell the story of your group and record it for future generations of CWC members. It gives members a new appreciation for where you have been and where you are going in your service to God. Bring your books and share your stories. We all love to hear what you are doing. The most important thing is to document the history of your group. Please contact me if you need help or have any questions about your history book. If you need photos of state officers, flyers, connection days, or prayer retreats, please check the photo albums on the https://www.facebook.com/KYCWC/. There are photos of all the events, and you are welcome to use any of them in your books. My e-mail is [email protected], I have facebook messenger, or you can text me at 606-481-0308. Please send me a few photos of your CWC group to put in the 2019-20 yearly overview to show during the convention banquet. Looking forward to seeing you at the 2020 KYCWC convention. Thanks so much.
