Our 80 Series is our roll-out pass. Again, 100 is to the left and 200 is to the right.
Playside # 1: Run a Hammer Route. Aim for a spot 5 yards deep and 2 yards from the
sideline. Turn your numbers to the QB. Sit! Do not Drift!
Playside # 2: Run a Flag route breaking at 10 yards. Aim for the back corner of
the end zone. Get deep!
Playside # 3: Run a Fill route, breaking at 10 yards. Find an open window!
Back side # 1: Run straight towards
the middle of the field, try to get
the FS to run with you. Aim for a
spot 20 yards deep over the ball.
RB: You must seal the edge outside the playside tackle. Help
him seal the DE and then look for a blitz off the edge. Your block
is critical!

Versus Cover 2, the Flag must flatten his route to get separation from the safety.
Chances are very good that you will get the ball. Your aiming point on your break is now
20 yards deep at the sideline. The backside post must split the 2 safeties versuscover 2.

Presnap: The QB picks a side based on the following factors:
1. Deepest CB
2. Widest flat defender
3. Best match-up
Which side should the QB throw to? How do you know?
The right side because the CB is lined up deeper than the left side CB
As explained before, all receivers run Hitches. The Hitches are all 3 steps.
# 2 receivers: if you have a LB lined up over you, run your hitch inside of him!

QB: Postsnap: Read the Flat defender and throw off of his movement. If he widens,
throw to # 2. If he stays, throw to # 1. Against Cover 3, the flat defender will be the
defender lined up over # 2.
Beware the danger players: the inside LBs when throwing to the # 2 receiver!

In trips, the # 3 receiver will run his hitch inside the
nearest LB
Which side does the QB choose presnap? Why?
The QB chooses the left side presnap because the CB is lined up deeper. The routes of the inside most receivers
(inside the LB) will draw the LB inside with
them, opening up a window to the outside.

Playside # 1: Attack the leverage of the CB. Be sure to run your hitch outside in order to
get separation and create space between yourself and # 2. Run your hitch at 3-steps.
Playside # 2: Run your hitch inside the first LB. It is critical that you get inside him to
create space and open a window for the QB to throw the ball.
Playside # 3: Run a bubble route. Open your hips and turn your shoulders to the QB.
Backside # 1 and 2: Run the backside tag called, in this case, run a hitch at 3 steps
QB: Key the flat defender. First read is the bubble route. If it is open hit it NOW. If the
flat defender widens quickly, look for the open window between you and # 1. Be aware
of the next LB inside. If the backside has no outside leverage, look to that side.

The flat defender does not widen quickly,
so the QB hits the bubble in stride. It is
critical the QB hits the bubble route in stride
on his upfield shoulder so the receiver can
get yards after the catch (YAC).
The receiver will probably have to make the
CB miss in the open field.

after you clear. DO NOT DRIFT INSIDE! If the QB throws it to you, it will be as soon
as you clear that defender.
Backside # 1 and # 2: Run the backside tag called. It this case it is a Hitch-Seam
QB: Read is again the flat defender. If he sits, backs up, or does anything but widen,
throw the hitch. If the key widens, throw the seam on a dime just past the defenders
head.
